Character with Active Marshal Spirit

Martial Spirits come in three variants ; Civil, Military, and Lesser. Every so often an announcement is made in-game, "Martial Spirit will appear in X minutes". Once this announcement has been made, players can make their way to major cities and speak with the Martial Spirit Captain. After this announcement it's possible to teleport to the closest martial spirit captain from the martial spirit register(bulletin board). This costs you 1 teleport scroll. The Martial Spirit Captain will send players to either the Civil or Military Arena to battle for possession of a Civil or Military Martial Spirit for a fee of 5 gold + 10 Merits.

Once players enter the Arena, they have 50 minutes to defeat the Martial Spirit. If they fail to defeat the Martial Spirit in this time, or no players go to the Martial Arena, the Martial Spirit will leave. When (if) the Martial Spirit is defeated, the Spirit is given randomly to one of the top 50 players who dealt a minimum of 0.5% damage to the Martial Spirit. Everyone else that qualifies by damage will get an Arena Treasure Box.

Lesser Martial Spirits can appear afield outside of the Martial Arena, but being lesser Martial Spirits they don't possess quite the arsenal of stats nor abilities of the Civil and Military Martial Spirits.

The player who receives a Marital Spirit may use them as a "buff" for up to 3 days, gaining ability boosts and new skills. Once the duration of the Martial Spirit is expired it can no longer be used. While a player possesses a specific civil or military Martial Spirit that still has time left on it's duration, that Martial Spirit will not re-appear in the Martial Arena. Lesser Martials spirits do still appear.
