I haven't been gaming in a couple years. My wife and I went backpacking across SE Asia for six months, that kinda took up all my time. Saw some amazing technology centers in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, though.

So now it looks like Aeria offers points for in-game usage, which you can earn for free by watching ads. And it looks like the system has been through enough iterations that it's savvy against spoofing, which only tells me the game is being stepped-up. As for me, I'll go along with any e-lists that I can cancel out of later, anything that doesn't involve downloading a spurious tax program or whatever. I just have no idea what the market rate for points is, whether all my efforts will get me something awesome or merely the equivalent of sparkly in-game shoelaces.

And I think rather than spreading myself so thinly over every MMO that comes out, I'll just focus on a few and try to get somewhere in them. It'd be nice if I could talk my wife into playing as well.
