The Darkness That Surrounds Me (My Story!!) Part 17; The preparations, the plan, and the final...battle.
Well, here it is. The next part, finally. Hope chu guys read it and everything :) Tell me what you think too! I might finish this story this week since I have nothing else to do, but we'll see! STORY START! ! ! ! !
-No one's POV-
About 9 days had past since the remarkable battle between the cougars and wolves. Blazing Furo has had no slight movement since then, nor has the rest of the cougars. Those days were lucky break days; the wolves, Isabel, Brad, Snowy, and Black Shadow rested up to the limit, and ready for bloody events to come. We go to Isabel's side of life, in the dark hut of where she slept. The sky was dark, around one in the morning, the small snowy village quiet as a empty silent room.
-Isabel's POV-
Echoes. Echoes burst through my head. . . 'Kill them all. . You have the power, just kill all of them who dare come within your way. . .' Stop. Stop saying those things. I couldn't kill anyone. . .It's not right. "Ahh!" I scream abruptly as I sprung up sweating, sitting in the tiny hut. I place a warm hand of mine on my forehead, breathing heavily, "Oh god.... it was just a dream..." I whispered quietly to myself as I caught my breathe, putting my hand down. I closed my eyes, sitting still as I heard nothing outside. Quietness.. Suddenly, I felt like something was out there. I sat, stiff as ever; I saw a shadow along my hut of a wolf. I felt a tad bit relieved, to know it wasn't anything else.
I decided to quietly crawl out o my hut, looking outside as I saw Snowy? What could he be doing outside so late at this time? I just had to figure it out; I was filled with a feeling of curiosity as if, a little kid. He didn't notice me, so this was my chance; I got up, slowly and quietly as possible, following him as a little bit of snow fell. He was heading towards some kind of shrine looking place, I wasn't sure what it was for, but I bet I'd somehow figure it out. I followed him all the way into the shrine, where he came to stop at a huge room with a statue of a god looking wolf in the middle of the room... It was a wolf statue that had red marks on it, with a sun looking block on the back of the wolf. I hid behind a huge poll that kept the building intact, and watched curiously.
He started praying it looked like it, but I couldn't understand what he was saying. I sighed quietly, but that was the biggest mistake. .
-No one's POV-
As Isabel took a quiet sigh, Snowy got a high guard, hearing it. He jumped at the direction of Isabel, knocking her to the ground with a scream blurting out her mouth. Snowy's expression changed as he looked at Isabel, "Isabel, what are you as such doing in a location as this?" he asked, as Isabel looked panicky. She calmed down after a little, then sighed again, "I was curious where you were going, and wanted to find out.." she muttered as Snowy slowly got off her; Isabel coming to her feet, dusting off her clothes. "Anyway! Why are you out here so late?" she asked, as Snowy closed his eyes, "Nothing of your concern, young one. You wouldn't understand.." he muttered, in a strange cold tone, walking out the shrine. Before he went out of sight, he turned back to look at Isabel, "Just don't go doing anything stupid, it would be the end of us all then. Keep low and just go back to sleep, we'll talk in the morning." he added, in a tone that caused Isabel to receive a chill of goosebumps.
Snowy was out of sight for a while now, but Isabel remained standing in the same area. "Is he.... hiding something?" she asked herself as she shook her head slightly, walking out the shrine. Moments went by for Isabel to get back into her hut, laying down and closing her eyes, "I'll ask Buddy maybe.." she muttered in a sleepy way, falling asleep very fast. .
-Back on Earth, with Sam-
It was mid-day time back on Earth, time going by with Isabel gone. Sam was walking home from school, since it had finished not too long ago. In baggy pants in all, she walked slowly home. "**** it's hard to get by the days without anyone to waste em with.." she muttered, then yelled as she kicked a fence. "dammit!" she yelled, but a dog soon came running over, and barking at Sam. She made a freaky looking face at the dog, throwing a rock at it, "Shuudd up already!" she told the dog, grumbling as she walked back home. .
-Isabel's POV-
The next day had finally came, it felt like decades went by until day-break came! I came out of my smallish hut, looking around as I stretched out my arms, yawning. "Finally!" I cheered to myself, sniffing the air that had smelt like food. Rushing over to the food hall, I ran past the tired slow Brad, and past other wolves. I saw my favorite seat at the huge table, sitting down and waiting to eat; excited to fill my stomach so I have great energy. Buddy had sat next to me, Snowy sitting at the end of the table, and Brad sitting by some other wolves. Masquerade and Shab were sitting by these laughing wolves; but it was pretty clear to me that they felt as if outsiders.
I chuckled some, as the food came, and I dug right in, eating all the good food! A tiny plate of a omelet, a bowl of rice for me, and a nice piece of meat! The breakfast was good, and about 2o minutes later, everyone had finish; well... most everyone, and people were gone throughout the village. I glanced over at Buddy, having a chibi looking face, "Budddy, what is everyone doing eating so fast and everything?" I asked, as Buddy looked at me, "We're preparing for the next battle we face, so we are ready at any living moment. You're going to help too, come on." he explained, getting up. I sighed some, getting up as well; following Buddy.
Buddy led me to a wooden building, and I walked in as he stood by the door way. I glanced around and saw pieces of metal, copper, silver, and all those metals around, then looked back at Buddy with a blank expression, "Why are you showing me all this metals?" I asked, as Buddy chuckled in a weird way, "What!?" I asked, as Buddy sighed, smiling, "You're in charge of making the weapons; you have a crew that's on their way to help you, but we need a lot of weapons. You should be able to do it. And make armor for the wolves and yourself so we don't get killed easily. K?" he explained, "But wait! I can't do this!" I said, but Buddy was already leaving, "good luck!" He yelled back at me as I groaned, sitting down against the building wall, "Dammit..." I muttered, closing my eyes for a mere second.
A few minutes went by until a group of grey and brown wolves appeared infront of me, ready for work and smiling, "Ello Ms Isabel, we are ready for thy job at your order," one said, as I got up, looking at them. "Alright! Here's the list and plan of making stuff!" I cheered, and the plan for making weapons had begun.
This... was going to be a big job that had to be perfect; the decision of life. or death in the end of how well these weapons are.
-Masquerade's POV-
I sighed, sitting around with Shab, watching everyone at work; besides myself. "Jeeez Shab, we can help, why can't we at least have some job?" I asked him, as Shab shrugged blankly, "No idea boss, but it can be good not to work now, right?" "No, if we work it means we're worth something!" I corrected him, as I closed my eyes; leaning back. "Alright, job it is." I heard a voice, I opened one eye to see the black wolf; Black Shadow, "What kind of job...?" I asked, as I saw a sly grin in the wolf's face.
..."Great! Just great!" I complained, as I poured water into a bowl, "Well, you wanted a job boss. So this is what we have to do; filling up water bowls for the breaks so Wolves can drink up." he said as I groaned, half way through, "Jeeez. I hate my mouth sometimes.." I muttered, shaking my head. Most BORING and simplest job EVER..
-No One's POV-
All the jobs have been finished, armor done, weapons done, forts done and done, traps within the forest done, all of it. Now was the planning, and everyone was in the main hall, sitting down as Black Shadow was in everyone's view, Isabel sitting by him. A map of the forest was out, and the wolfs were ready to listen, along with Brad and Masquerade, and don't forget Shab. "Alright. We have everything created and strong, but now comes the tough part; the plan to beat and win this war for all." Black Shadow announced in a deep voice as if a leader once more.
Everyone cheered but Black Shadow made them all silence. Isabel and everyone paid attention as Black Shadow raised a paw at the map, "Now. The war is most likely to be to in the mountain passes or in the near field past the territory line. It's the two largest places in this area, so we should take the advantage. Most of our traps are around there, but we have no idea how far we'll succeed with them.." he explained, as Isabel soon raised a hand. "Why can't we just lure them to the mountain passes so it's easier to hide then in a open field?" she asked, as Buddy looked at Isabel, "And how do you think you can do that?" he asked, as Isabel. Started to add to the plan, and the plan was starting to form. . . .
-Days later-
2 days had past, the plan and all the preparations were set, the village empty. All of the wolves and everyone else, set up camp in the mountain passes, a avalanche having a chance to fall on all of them at any moment. But somehow, no matter how loud the scream, nothing shook any snow. Everyone had been sleeping, a wolf on guard at all times just in case. On Isabel's part; she was sleeping as well as Snowy and Buddy. Brad and Masquerade were sleeping in trees, and Shab was helping keep guard. The sun. Hardly rising as if in slow motion, started lighting up the place, but it actually was rising at a slower pace....why?
Isabel had awoke, watching the sun, then woke up Buddy, "Buddy, why is the sun in slow motion?" she asked, as Buddy shook her hand off his fur, "It's just...your imagination.." he muttered, not waking up. Isabel then sighed, and looked around at all the wolves. She then remembered; that day when Snowy was hiding something from her. She had to find out; but she had already asked other wolves, besides Buddy. "I'll just ask later..." she whispered aloud as her thoughts formed in her head. Without waking anyone up, Isabel headed to the wolf on guard, and sat next to the wolf, "Hey. Isn't this boring at times?" she asked, as the wolf shrugged slightly, "I guess.." the wolf muttered, then the two started talking quietly about what might happen on the events ahead.
The sun finally rose to the point of 9am, and the others started awaking, followed by a slight howl type of yawn. Buddy had walked to Isabel, and Isabel stared at the black coated wolf, "Buddy, I need to ask you something," she said in a serious type of tone, as Buddy nodded. They went over to the place a few yards away from the group so others couldn't hear, and Isabel sighed, "Snowy is hiding something from me, what is it?" she asked, as Buddy shrugged a bit, "I have no idea what you're talking about." he responded, "Yes you do! I followed him to some shrine and I knew he was hiding something! He was cold and bitter too!" Isabel protested, as Buddy glared at the short girl, "Stop. If you want to find out if he's hiding something from you, ask him yourself." Buddy growled a bit, walking back to the group as Isabel just stared off.
"but.... what if he doesn't tell me...?" she asked herself, falling forward to her knees, punching the ground; mad no one would tell her what she wanted to deeply know.
-Isabel's POV-
The day started to slowly come by, normal as ever as we stayed in the mountain pass. Masquerade, Shab, and Brad were playing cards, as all the other wolves were practicing fighting, and I was on top of a tree watching the forests out the passes. "I wonder what they are hiding..." I muttered, thinking about what that statue back at the shrine could represent, and what Snowy was saying back then. With my luck, and good skills of hiding in the snowy thick tree, I managed to find Snowy and Black Shadow under the tree talking to each other! I looked down at them, and luckily, they didn't notice me, and they were talking loud enough for me to hear.
"Isabel asked me about what you were hiding for her as you thought.." Buddy muttered, as Snowy nodded, "Good you didn't tell her, because we can't let her find out for now...I hope no one else tells her about it, that would be devastating.." Snowy mumbled, as they walked off. Dammit! Why'd they have to leave and not mention what they're hiding!? I sighed as they left, and jumped off the tree, landing in the snow on my feet, "All well then..." I muttered, shaking my head. Then it hit me; I heard a faint echo of yelling coming from just outside the mountain pass. As fast as possible could go, I rushed down the pass to the entrance, seeing a huge... no, monstrous army heading my way. My eyes shot wide open, my body trembling on how many cougars there were. I saw Scar, and Blazing Furo as well; every single warrior in the army in strong looking armor.
I knew the armor was stronger then the ones we had, so I had to quickly run back. I turned and ran as fast as I could, snow making my legs cold. I got back to the wolves, waving my arms, "Cougars!!! They're coming!!!!" I yelled as loud as I could, wolves quickly getting up and alert. Buddy started yelling orders, as well as Snowy. Masquerade, Shab, and Brad all put their cards away and started getting ready too; as I ran past every wolf, climbing the highest tree there was...
-No One's POV-
As the war grew closer and closer to the final battle, wolves all put their armor on, and got all their weapons and defense systems ready for the worst. As Isabel climbed to the top of the highest tree, all the wolves were ready for the order. Buddy looked up at Isabel, letting her know that it was on her word that they were all to attack. The cougars were coming closer, and it was seen they were charging at the wolves and everyone. Isabel waved her hand in the air, "Charrrrggeee!!!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, the wolves howling and charging at the cougar army.
As if in slow motion, silence was when the two armies ran; but when they collided, it went back to normal, Wolves and cougars growling and attacking each other at high speeds. Snowy using all his ancient power, and Black Shadow actually hardly using his strength at all but still killing cougars slowly. Isabel, as fast as she could got down from the tree; seeing Scar and Blazing Furo within the army, fighting her other teammates... This, was the battle. and the greatest adrenalin rush of Isabel's life, totally different from Earth...
-hour or two of fighting-
Around a hour or two of fighting had quickly passed by, but the sun remained in place; right above the armies and the world. Blood shed was covering the snow, wolves and cougars dying left and right. Isabel had been fighting other cougars, trying to reach Scar and Blazing Furo, but there was just to many of them! "Jeeez!" Isabel thought to herself, getting slowly exhausted from all of this. Buddy had been hardly scratched, along with Snowy and Masquerade and Shab were no where to be found. Where were they?
It wasn't a time to check, so Isabel threw it out her mind, and kept fighting with a bladed sword. She then spotted Brad; heading to Blazing Furo, who had a huge bladed weapon, killing every wolf that came his way. Isabel managed to run towards Brad, but Brad reached Blazing Furo at that time; Isabel calling out to them.. but it wasn't heard... The sound of blood splattering out of someone filled Isabel's eardrums.... She saw Brad got stabbed right in the chest by Blazing Furo, everything going in slow motion in her view.
Isabel had watched Furo, as he took out his bladed weapon out of Brad, blood covering the snow more. She hadn't seen a human ever die before, nor had she killed. Brad collapsed to the ground, covered in blood and Isabel couldn't stand but rush over to one of her teammates. She shook Brad as hard as she could, but came to the conclusion... he was gone.
-Isabel's POV-
I never witnessed a killing that close... I thought I never would, but apparently that's broken.. I slowly got up, looking around for Furo but he was no where. I then felt something hit me, making me go flying! A huge weight came on me, and I opened my eyes slowly; seeing Scar on me, growling with his huge cat teeth, "I never expected that I would be the one killing you... I thought it'd be Furo.." he growled, but grinned after, "All well.. I don't mind killing someone who's such a.. pain." he added, as I shook without stop. I couldn't talk, not even yell. I felt paralyzed and couldn't break free; until this huge pain came in my chest that I couldn't resist.. It made me feel.. like I could make myself get up at any living moment. What was this?
I suddenly pushed Scar off me, making him go flying into another group of cougars! I got up as if it was nothing, the pain slowly going away in my chest... I felt slowly like I could do anything! Scar got up, glaring at me with a deadly looking expression, "I'll kill you!" he growled, rushing at me; about to hit me. I thought he was about to hit me, but he didn't? I somehow dodged the attack, making him land face first into a tree...
-No one's POV-
As Scar flew into a tree, Isabel started getting more energy, even Black Shadow was able to sense the aura that came from her, "It's Akataru's aura..." he muttered, killing a cougar and none stop, heading towards the other end of the battle field where Isabel was. Isabel's hair changed from a brown color, to a light blue, her teeth turning to fangs and her nails going sharp. Tails that were light blue and huge came, and suddenly.... Isabel was no longer human, but she had turned into a huge giant fox looking creature, huge teeth, blue light fur; and huge long tails, about 7 of them. Her eyes were a black pure color.. "Akataru Hinoshi.." Snowy muttered, not believing his eyes, the other cougars and wolves seeing the huge creature. Furo was laughing manically as he saw the huge fox like creature, "YES!!!! Destroy EVERYTHING!!!!!!" he yelled in a crazy way, laughing more as Isabel - Akataru Hinoshi, made a huge growling noise..
Was the world at the end? Will everyone come to a defeat overall? Is Isabel not going to be saved? Is she going to try to fight back? FIND OUT IN PART 18!!!!!
