How do you make a charater?

I think the reason I can't play is cause it never asked me to make a character. It just gave me an account and the updater, but never asked me to make my guy. From all of you guys' comments this game sounds awesome, so can someone please help me.

There's no prompt to make a character. In the character select screen, which is the area you see directly after logging in with your aeria ID/PW, along the bottom there should be a teal-colored "Create Character" button.
