Lesson 9 – Advanced Cornering 3 – High Speed

Lesson 9 is a continuation of lessons 5 & 6. In this lesson we will be practicing advanced cornering at higher speeds.

The corner in question in this lesson is the turn/jump that immediately precedes the water crossing. A lot of car lose grip on the water crossing, so it is important to be lined up correctly for the crossing BEFORE you make the jump. If you come off the jump at and angle other than perpendicular to the post lines, you will more than likely crash into them. It is also important to be lined up correctly before crossing the water to achieve top speed on the jump/turn following the water. This combination makes this a particularly difficult turn for most drivers.

I may sound like a broken record, but this turn also requires the driver to brake earlier than expected. Taking the first turn slower will help line you up for the crossing and the next series of turns. This track is also great to help reinforce the previous 2 High Speed lessons as it has a nice variety of turns.

This lesson may take the driver a bit more practice then the previous ones.

This is the end of the ghost on section of the Sim school. By now, you should be able to get a nice lap time on any track in Sim mode. The last 3 lessons will teach you how to drive in ghost off mode.
