Lesson 7 – Simple Cornering 3 – High Speed

Lesson 7 is a continuation of lessons 1 & 2. In this lesson we will be practicing simple cornering at higher speeds, and how to corner on turns with trackside obstacles.

The San Fransisco tracks are great examples of fairly basic turns that have been made more difficult by the sidewalks that are littered with obstacles. They are fairly easy to negotiate. Practice lining up the corner like the sidewalks are walls. If you learn to drive the track without driving on the sidewalks, you will not really have to worry about the trackside obstacles. Usually this means braking early and turning in sooner.

Watch the lesson video for visual references and cornering lines, and then practice. Remember to treat the sidewalks like they are walls to avoid the obstacles on the sidewalk. Also, you are driving a faster car.
