My Mask
You see what i allow you to see
You will never see the truth
looking into my eyes you see light..
But within them..
only pain and sadness..
in truth what you believe is the real me is only
a mirage..
for the real me is a caged lil bird..but the difference
i don't want to spread my wings and go into the light..
i just want to stay caged and continue to hid behind my mask..
of lies and deception...
No one needs to know the real me..but
then again
no one really cares...
I just want to reamin here in my solitude..
protected by my smiles and laughs...
no one needs to know the real me...
Cause no one really cares...
i'm happy...Cause i won't get hurt
when someone betrays me or leaves me..
Because in all reality i never really cared...
So i will remain here safe and protected behind my
MASK of Pretend Happiness....
