Game Product Manager - Santa Clara, CA and Berlin, Germany

AGE is currently looking for a person with excellent product management and organization skills and a thorough understanding of games development and business to take on the challenge of leading a development team. If you enjoy the challenge and excitement of promoting and managing new MMO games, then join our team!

    Key duties include:
  • Manage acquisition, design, and development of online games product line.
  • Manage multiple products from inception through release by identifying market opportunities, securing approval for resource and development support, meeting development goals and delivering to meet or exceed expectation in the final product.
  • Maintain close communication with outside developers to ensure they meet contractual requirements. Provide developers with material and technical support as needed.
  • Manage the GM team(s) to ensure that milestones are accomplished and schedules are achieved on time;
  • Manage the alignment of development goals with marketing objectives, and the alignment product goals with strategic development objectives. Achieve sales goals through quality execution and by meeting market requirements.
  • Establishing a creative and productive environment through effective team coaching;
  • Ongoing appraisal of team member's individual performances, helping them to work towards their own continuous personal development;
  • Analyze trends and research new business opportunities;
  • Compile reports on activity level, marketing strategies and customer concerns;
  • Develop strategies to promote the game(s);
  • Working closely in alignment with the company’s overall business strategy;
    Qualifications:
  • Experience in games software development as a developer working on published titles;
  • Proven time and project and team management skills with demonstrable ability in handling multiple responsibilities concurrently while working well under deadline pressures;
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and online business models;
  • Able to prepare business projections and reports and analyze customers’ trend and characteristics;
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills;
  • Must exhibit an affinity for online entertainment software and possess a strong sense of aesthetics applicable to producing high quality entertainment products.
  • Must have proven experience in successfully developing and managing people, resources and schedules.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office suite of products. Basic networking knowledge is a plus.

    Game Master Position - Santa Clara, CA and Berlin, Germany

    AGE is currently looking for a motivated individual with great customer service skills and a passion for games. The ideal candidate should have previous GM or customer service experience, with an extensive amount of customer support management, as well as possess a strong knowledge of the unique issues inherent to MMO games. We need someone who knows the desires of gamers, cares about their needs and understands the market for MMOs.

      As a game master, you would:
    • Test and document bugs
    • Draft and outline possible game enhancements and features
    • Address and resolve customer/player issues;
    • Develop and maintain customer/player relations;
    • Investigate and document complex issues with regard to bugs, game exploits, trade and other potential issues;
    • Distinguish for the team and other departments between high and low priority items, focusing on areas yielding the greatest return, and make sound determinations based on what requires a "sense of urgency".
    • Document and communicate game/technical/investigation issues to technical staff;
    • Document and communicate in-game community satisfaction, revenue stream, and revenue-building opportunities to management;
    • Organize and run events for the community of players;
    • Provide input on content driven events, updates, and future enhancements;
    • Monitor game servers to ensure stability and fair game play;

      Software Engineer (Web) - Santa Clara, CA

      This unique position is for a skilled engineer and online game enthusiast. We are looking for a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. This role will be responsible for development a scalable and high traffic web site for massively multi-players online gaming (MMOG). As a website developer for millions of gamers, the daily tasks will be constantly challenging. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, initiative and can transform our website into an online hang out destination.

        Key duties include:
      • Design, Develop, and maintain the online gaming website with innovative features.
      • Develop scalable and redundant web architecture for millions of users.
      • Integrate web and game platforms.
      • Perform web and database diagnostic steps to identify and resolve the issues.
        Qualifications:
      • Experience with large scale and high performance web application in PHP, Java, or C++ using Apache/LightTPD Server.
      • Strong in web based applications and networking in Linux/Unix environments (prefer LAMP experience).

      Infrastructure Architect - Santa Clara, CA

      This unique position is for a skilled infrastructure architect and online game enthusiast. We are looking for a self-starter who can lead a team to build a high performance online system. This role will be responsible for designing and developing a scalable infrastructure to support a high traffic website and system to serve massively multi-player online games to a worldwide audience.

      As an infrastructure architect for a system that serves millions of players, the daily tasks will be constantly challenging. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and can take initiative and be a leader that can mentor and grow other team members.

        Key duties include:
      • Plan, coordinate, direct, and design server and network architecture, as well as provide direction and support for daily operation activities.
      • Design and Develop scalable and redundant web architecture for millions of users.
      • Design a seamless and scalable solution to integrate web and game platforms across multiple data centers.
      • Oversee Operations personnel and implement appropriate standards and processes.
      • Provide leadership and guidance for web site development projects.
        Qualifications:
      • 5+ years of experience with the architecture and administration of Linux servers and Windows Server (2000/2003) in 24/7 production environment.
      • 2+ years of capacity planning and network optimization experience.
      • 3+ years of experience with large scale web application in PHP, Java, or C++ using Apache/LightTPD Server.

      System Administrator - Santa Clara, CA and Berlin, Germany

      This unique position is for a skilled system administrator and online game enthusiast. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated experience with installing, securing, and maintaining large-scale (100-400 servers) systems. This role will be responsible for the administration and operations of online infrastructure (Linux and Windows) and for defining, maintaining, and optimizing technology strategy and architecture to serve high traffic web site and massively multi-players online gaming (MMOG) systems worldwide. The ideal candidate:

      • is a Linux/Windows guru
      • has maintained proprietary applications in a high-availability production environment
      • has the ability to rapidly self-educate on new concepts and methods

      As an infrastructure architect for a system that serves millions of players, the daily tasks will be constantly challenging. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and can take initiative and be a leader that can mentor and grow other team members.

        Key duties include:
      • Install and configure operating system, game software, and associated patches or updates
      • Engineering, managing, and support Linux/Windows systems for large (several hundred servers) 24x7 data center/hosting environment as well as corporate offices.
      • Provide and implement monitoring processes and/or tools and use automated system software tools and/or procedures to proactively monitor, manage and report on server performance.
      • Contribute to planning efforts for database backup, disaster recovery, capacity expansion, component upgrading, and system hardening.
      • Day-to-day running of the data center and infrastructure to ensure optimal product performance.
      • Investigate ways to more elegantly/efficiently solve problems.
      • Produce and maintain voluminous documentation on installations, incidents, and FAQs.
      • Participate in on-call rotation.
        Qualifications:

        Customer Billing Support Specialist - Santa Clara, CA

        Aeria Games is currently looking for a self-motivated individual with great customer service and billing experience to work in a fast-paced, fun and challenging environment. The ideal candidate should have previous customer service and support experience. We need someone who can work efficiently and independently after being trained. This position is for late afternoon to evenings and weekend shift.

          Key duties include:
        • Address, resolve and respond customer billing issues in a friendly and professional manner;
        • Credit card reconciliations;
        • Handle billing and dispute resolutions from various payment gateways
        • Investigate and document issues with regard to fraudulent changes, chargeback and other potential billing issues;
        • Invoice/purchase order matching;
        • Monitor and identify possible incoming fraudulent transactions
        • Research and compile data using various web based tools
          Qualifications:
        • Excellent knowledge of various online payment methods (PayPal, Google checkout, Paybycash, etc.);
