I personally like Rosario+Vampire, but it probably has more socializing than actual fighting. Still, I swear I thought Tsukune was gonna die like... *Cough* Every time he got into a fight.

I'm stuck between Gurren Lagann and Birdy Decode 2. = /
Gurren Lagann feels unique but Birdy just has this feeling of awesomeness. After all, Birdy FALCON-PUNCHED A KID IN HALF!
........It's not as gory as it sounds.

Can't think if of one off the top of my head but the most recent one I've seen is Future Diary. Not really that in terms of action but more of gore i guess.

soul eater is awesome and its the most fun and action packed anime iv sen ( And i have sen a lot of anime believe me xD my friends say i watch to much :/
