First off, allow me to apologize for the intermittent server issues and lag you have recently been experiencing on all servers. It is our commitment to ensure that these issues are resolved ASAP and that we fully disclose the cause and process for restoring service to the game servers.
After some research and tracking of connection activity, we have determined that recent disconnects (including Sundays) have been the result of a DDOS attack on our servers. We are currently working with our server providers, and the authorities to track down and fully prosecute the responsible person(s), as well as respond to all inquiries regarding to lost items.
I know many of you (Teos), are worried about lost AH listing again as a result of these attacks. Luckily, we were able to work with SonoV yesterday and apply changes to the data recording processes associated with the AH, it looks like so far these changes have been effective in fixing the Teos AH issues from further data loss.
Now the question comes up: What are we going to do about Ultimate Mode characters and resurrection runes?
The answer is that we're still trying to figure that one out and will keep you updated when we determine a course of action. In the meantime, it would be a good idea to either use a long-duration continuous resurrection rune or play on a hard mode character. This is not a sales pitch and is just a statement regarding the reality of the situation.
