Hello guys,

I've decided to make a signature making tutorial. I will add-on to make different signatures, including the one I have myself, but this is a total beginner's signature, easy, fast and good looking.

Warning: This tutorial is made only for Adobe Photoshop Cs3 and above.

Here is what the final outcome looks like:

Font I used: http://www.dafont.com/search.php?psize=m&q=Sell+your+soul

First, go to File>New and choose, approx, 370 width and 130 height.



Then, open up your render, move it to the New file and duplicate it two times. Hide one of the copies, and make the Original render and one copy cover the full New file. Then, merge the copy to the original render.



Go to Smudge tool, set the settings to all with Jitter to 100%, Minimum Roundness to 25% and scattering to approx. 0,5 cm from the start of the line. Smudge the merged render's until it cannot be seen its a bear anymore. (the brush you must use looks like a square and its size is 36).
Then, un-hide the bear render. If you think its too big, Hold Ctrl+T+Shift and resize it then move it to where you want it.



Again open the smudge tool and smudge the bear's edges just a little bit, so it matches the background.



Then, when you think its good, add your text. If you will do a name+quote, make the name BIGGER than the quote and make the text be well visible.




I would LOVE to see your outcomes, so please post them here (note that ANY render will do, this is just a example on how to make a easy signature).

One problem though :p

If you think its too big, Hold Ctrl+T+Shift and resize it then move it to where you want it.

Its ctrl + T to get the resize square up then hold shift and drag a corner to resize, to keep the render in high quality and in proper proportion

Other than that, good tutorial for basics

Tnx its my first. I might post it on the Shaiya forums, and do you know what clipping masks are? You can get awesome writing with defused and it, like mine / the TIMMY Loves you all one hehe.

can also come in handy for blending if smudging goes wrong or doesnt go how you want it too

Cool. How do you install brushes? =S Idk how to and the net tut. is totally useless to me, I mean it didn't help me much you know? =P

C:\Users\Coleman\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Brushes

Change the "coleman" but to whoevers profile the PS is saved to.
Should take you to a folder where you just paste your burshes to, (or drag and drop them into this folder)
Make a shortcut for it, so it's easier to find

note i think it lookd bettr without smudgin the edges but tht would be to plane
