I am lvl 31 now. I have lvl 5 Ice.
I read somewhere that I should wait until I hit 32 before switching to a second profession, is this true? Because I can level faster because I dont get new skills until lvl 32?
I have a few questions as well. When I do switch will I loose all my 1-30 skills? Both Active and Passive?
If I went Elementilist do I loose my 4 summons that I had 1-30? I have lvl 5 all 4 summons, fire, wind earth, water. I read the skills posted here and they seem to be new summons I have to earn. I am wondering if I will have 2 summons available like I do now at a time, the fire/wind combo and earth/water combo, or will I only be allowed to have 1 at a time?
The reason i am asking is because I am having a hard time deciding which direction i want to head in now. I wanted to go specialist for the transformations because they look cool, but if hes not as good as the elemenalist then I dont think i want to head in the specialist direction.
If the second profession makes it that difficult to level , why bother switching at all, jsut keep going the way I am now, maxed out all previous skills active and passive and just keep playing with 1-30 lvl skills.
When I do change jobs, do I loose all the skill points in the previous 1-30 skills that are taken away?
I hate to sound so noob but this is my first char that I have gotten to lvl 31.

You should only wait until 32 if you wish to become a specialist, because you lose all of your pets and dont get your transformation skills until 32.
No you don't lose your current pets, you keep them and all of your buffs for them, including all spells between 1 and 30. And there are no new pets to obtain either.
Yes the specialist has transformations... But that's really about all. From personal experience, switching back and forth, Elementalists are much better all around (no offfense to Specialists). Yes maybe not as much defense or attack but the pets make up for that. Many skills, more power ups for pets (but i dont recommend the Pet Active Buffs, don't last long at all). The pets also get their OWN skills if you go elementalist. The Water pet has a spell that will Stun and lower the Def of the opponent. Yes the specialist has an AoE (Area of Effect) spell that stuns 5 opponents. Unfortunately it only lasts roughly 6-8 seconds and you are immobile for a great majority of it. The pets with only level 1 empower buffs do more damage than a single Sorceror in FireWind (Demon) form.
The only unfortunate thing about Elementalists really are not as much defense as a Sorc in Knight form, and you will need tons of Skill Points to be a half-decent Elementalist. With roughly 1800-1900 Skill Points I don't have half the skills that make leveling much much faster (Empower spells, defense spells, magical attack spell, etc).
