My Thoughts on current PVP system

My thoughts on pvp:

These few simple changes would make PVP , soooo much better

-Defense cap removed, Defense will matter, rks/titans will once have a place in pvp again
-Damage nerfed (PVP)- no more 1 shots.. basically 30% damage reduce like DCS
-Damage boosters do not work in pvp


Just thought id share. is there any plans coming up?

additions would be nice also.

Whats wrong with damage boosters? And isnt defense only capped in arena?

97 sin- Pops dmg booster, crit pot, velo

151 sin- 1 hit! by a crit...

Defense is capped everywhere in PvP.
During DCS you only get a damage reduction (you do only around 1/3 of your normal damage)

I agree with *1 and *2 , but DMG boosters?..
Seriously, they r only useful for 1 thing: PvP

And ..if.. the PvP system gets fixed n if there will be a lvl cap, then it's even more useless to use the boosters. In PvE they just suck, wow, 1 normal hit, they don't even work with skills but the description didn't change since..08? Dunno, never used them except for PvP cause they just suck, but they should last till the mob dies -> just like XP booster etc

So I'd say they should rather fix the boosters n keep em in PvP >_>

ah and btw...they should make autohit cap..like they have with skill cap..like all now 10-15 lvl above cant be hit or nearly never...autohits...a 90 ranger still can easily autohit 15X chars..but his skills wont hit.

Also, fix Mages Defense. Seriously, I know they're suposed to have rubbish Defense, but I have a full B6E +10-15 set, and I get one hit by lvl 92 RK's. I'm lvl 102...

I'm not going to move this topic to suggestions. I think that this is more of an essential fix, than a suggestion.

The problem is the mobs in this game have tones of HP and we need high dmg skills to kill them. On the other hand, the players have very few HP points and thus the same skills used in pvp seems overkill.

I agree with all the points made by Quagmire. Even more, I would agree to a dmg cap of 1/10 for pvp compared to pvm.

Ditto, other than for PvP, dmg boosters r useless

Damage Boosters are stupid all round, I personally say take them out of the game completely, or at least disable use in PvP, they make it so that the example Quagmire1234 happens quite frequently, and actually brings into question the whole point of leveling if someone 50+ levels below you can one hit you. And read the description of Damage Booster, it says "monster" in the description, not player, so that to me says it had an original PvE intent.

Now for the 15-20 level autohit cap, I strongly disagree on this one, do that and there's be no point turning up to DCS unless you're 140+ if a SINGLE 160+ turns up, because that guy would be invincible, keep the normal hit system as it is, the better fix would be to sort out Defense cap and sort out HP gain per level, etc for all Classes.
