All you have to do is log out of the Meebo IM feature, and then log out of the Aeria site. When you log back in to the Aeria site, the Meebo IM feature will then not automatically log you back in.

No, it's more than that. Sure I can log out of it. But once I shut my computer off, once I get back on here it logs me back in, and I get to log back out. If I NEVER shut my comp down, that would work. Try shutting your computer OFF, then come back to the AGE forums.
Also the banner is still there, and the advertisements ON the banner are worse because they stick up higher than the stupid meebo bar. Seriously, I'm just glad I don't have to look at the stupid thing anymore.

I seldom shut off my computer; doing so burns out the power switch too quickly. However, I had to reload everything in my browser today, because, for some screwy reason, the tabs didn't save when I closed the browser this morning, and I remained signed out of Meebo IM when I reloaded the Aeria site and signed back in.

Yeah, I can close my browser and walk away for a few hours then sign back in and I'm still signed out of meebo. But for those of us that actually shut down to let our computers cool off, meebo is even more annoying.
I just walked a GS through installing a thing to block scripts in the FireFox browser so she could get rid of the stupid thing.

I am sorry I am the type of person that watches the forums, Plays the GAME, checks email, sends and replies to IMs, Pays Bills etc all at the same time.... last thing I need is another add on(which I didnt ask for nor did I approve) that lags me down and makes it darned near IMPOSSIBLE to reply to people in the shout box (that is a whole other topic) when they need help.... without going out of my skull.
Since NxPND talked me through how to ditch that meebo junk I feel much better about my online security and can actually FUNCTION on the internet.... and IN GAME!
Once again public Props to ya mate... you saved my sanity (or what was left of it)
