Ok first I'd like to admit that I'm not that good at Photoshop so please .....>.<
Just sharing something I thought would be helpful ( yeah I hate long topics too...)
I know how frustrating it is to wait for a page full of images to load ... I have a slow connection my self

so I decided to link you the images
1. Open the picture you want to work with :
Like this...
2. Double click it to make it a layer ( more freedom than if it was a background...)
Like this...
3. Go to Image > calculations :
Like this...
4. Now here you should select to merge the red channel with the channel that makes your
object darker then the background ... usually blue works good enough but feel free to try
out others :
Like this...
5. Go to channels tab and select only the channel created by the calculations you have
merged :
Like this...
6. Selecting only the new channel alone Go to Image > Adjustment> levels :
Like this...
7. You have to play with the input levels till you get a distinct object with a white background:
Like this...
8. Now with a wave from the magic wand :
Like this...
9. Click the lighter colored region which should be your background and right click > select
inverse :
Like this...
10. Now back to the layers tab click your image to activate it's channels & close the
calculations channel :
Like this...
11. Copy and paste your selection in a new layer..or just press ctrl+j it will do that... :
Like this ...
12 . Mask the original layer and use paint bucket to hide it all , then heal the missing edges
or the wanted parts of your image :
Like this...
13 . My result pretty much good yeah ? :
Result
I'm sorry it sounds so boring lol , the tutorial is open to changes so if anything is wrong with it please tell =)
Thanks for taking your time to go through it
