Ando i don't see any Akamai hosting the client just the old ones and the gf site has not been loading properly for me today and u guys are lucky i don't even get that far in the update it just says the Http won't connect

I'm also having problems,it says HTTP can't connect or something of that nature,I don't understand you guys havn't worked on it have you?I log for a few hours come back and can't patch D:.Addict needs his game ;~; *Mumbles*

These are hit or miss temporary solutions, but they seem to be the top 3 working at the moment:

1. Bypass the Launcher

2. Try downloading a working install

3. Manual Patch


If none of those work for you, you'll likely have to wait until the staff comes up with a permanent solution.

I tried bypassing the launcher and downloading a working install, neither work, I'll try manual patch now.

nothing has worked for me I can't even manual patch the link to the patch times out.

im having the same problem now as well now,i played it last night,but when i tried to play this morning it gave me the http note as well,did u put a new patch in the last 12 hours?ive got tired of trying things so i even downloaded and reinstalled it as well but still getting the same problem.idk what to do but add my name to the list of people having this problem in hopes of it getting fixed.

i retried it now but im still getting a http cant connect,but its says its for version txt or something,im just tired of it now. i have tried on all the computers in the house but all have the same problem.

Launcher Troubleshooting
im having trouble with my grand fantasia launcher it keeps saying http cant connect ready to retry download: version.txt...\

Since a few of you are still having some trouble with patching. Our team is making some improvements to the patching system, but in the mean time here are some steps to try and resolve the issue:


BASICS

1. Restart your computer if you haven't done so already

2. Clear your internet explorer browser cache

3. Make sure you don't have a firewall that may be blocking the patching

4. Temporarily disable your anti-virus

5. If you are running Windows Vista, run the launcher in admin

6. If you are running Windows 7, try running the launcher in compatibility

7. If you haven't already, try reinstalling the game


ADVANCED

1. Try using the manual patch

2. If the manual patch isn't working for you by installing it through the launcher, it may be possible to extract the files into your game folder directly

3. Try editing your LuncherMod.ini file to see if this helps with patching:
OPT_TIMEOUT = 60 => OPT_TIMEOUT = 120

4. If you are able to get one of the above steps to work, but then you get a new error when you try to play the game, try performing a "Full Scan" from the launcher to verify your client files are correct.


LAST RESORT

1. Some players have mentioned renaming the connect.ini to connects.ini then running the client directly (bypassing the launcher) has worked for them. However this method is not recommended.
