GENERAL QUESTIONS

** I didn't get an email, can I download the game?
The download is available to everyone, but you may not be able to log in unless you are part of the Closed Beta. If you have not been invited yet you can always get a beta key


DOWNLOAD & INSTALL QUESTIONS

** I'm getting a download error from Akamai!
The most common problem is that the download window is closed -
KEEP THE BROWSER WINDOW OPEN!
Some of these issues can be easily fixed. Please be sure to check out the other threads in this section. If you cannot find an issue similar to yours, screenshot the problem (if possible) and fully describe the issue.
Don't worry, alternative download sites will be available soon!

** The Akamai download finished, but where is it??
Akamai: The first download on the download page requires the akamai downloader. The default download location is the desktop - but if it isn't there check here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Akamai

To download the game installer, run the Akamai download program.
Remember, you must keep your browser window open!
The browser window automatically runs the program unless you uncheck the "run when download is complete" checkbox. If it doesn't, check here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Akamai\Cache\

** When I try to install, I get an error that says "Launching File Failed: SE_ERR_SHARE"
Luckily the fix to this seems to be simple. Restart your computer, then try again. The launcher can be found in the location listed in the question above this one.

** I get an error at the end of installation?
At the end of installation the Grand Fantasia website will try to launch. If this does not happen try changing your default web browser to Internet Explorer.

** No matter what I do I can't download the game using Akamai
If you are using Firefox, make sure you are not using the NoScript plugin. Also make sure you have admin privileges, and if prompted choose to "Run as Administrator".

LOGIN & LAUNCHER QUESTIONS

** HELP! I can't log in to the game!!
You may need to re-sign in to the website in order to fully activate your account.

** I get an error at the launcher screen
If you are running Windows Vista, go to the AeriaGames folder, then Grand Fantasia folder, look for "_Lancher.exe" right click then run as admin.

Also you can try running a "Full Scan" at the launcher screen which will verify you patched correctly. If that doesn't work, make sure Grand Fantasia is not blocked by your firewall.


GAMEPLAY QUESTIONS

** Why am I having graphics lag?
Try adjusting the video settings in-game. Generally lowering the resolution and other settings should improve performance. If you are still having trouble, make sure your system meets the minimum requirements posted on the website and otherwise try updating video card drivers.

** Game freezes?
Update video card drivers.

** I have trouble reading the text
Toggle the Font Size checkbox in the options screen to see if this helps. If this doesn't work, try adjusting your video card settings (such as anti-aliasing) and update your video card drivers.

Does the last question solve this issue? Seems like a thread full of people with the same/similar problem. (Is there another download option available like Fileplanet, BigDownload, etc.?)

just wondering something, does the installer save anywhere? I've finished downloading and complete the installation but have no idea where its at :O.

Find it in: Program Files\Common Files\Akamai folder.

I seem to have gotten an email, it even registers as saying i have one, but when i go into my various inbox or junk or other files of the sort i don't seem to find anything. Will this be an issue? I did sign up.

Apparently the downloader does not like Firefox. I had to use the IE Tab plugin for firefox to use ie to make it work.

I downloaded the game, found the file in the proper folder after installing it, and the application for the game itself, just won't open.

I ran it as administrator and everything, but double clicking on it doesn't do anything for it. It's like it opens, but nothing is there.

As for the "Launching File Failed: SE_ERR_SHARE" with the Vista 64-Bit systems, a restart will fix the problem. Just go back to the download page or the folder the download is in and start the installer.
