Okay, there is so much here to address and that is exactly why I made this post. I can beat around the bush all I want but we all know that hacking is something that occurs and it wouldn't be prudent to pretend that everything was alright when we all know that it's not.
I'm not sure what I can say at this moment in time to alleviate all your grievances. I can't pretend to announce that all hackers have been stopped for all time. That's not how the world works, hackers spend their time looking for ways to abuse our games so it's inevitable on some level.
What I can say is that while some hackers may make other accounts, that involves new e-mail addresses, new account creations and I can look up one account and ban all of them within 2 clicks. The time I spend getting rid of them may continue, but the actual time taken is insignificant compared to how much time and effort it takes for the continuing exploitation of Wolf Team.
We of course want to patch hacks as soon as we can, and Game Guard catches them and then new ones are made, then game guard catches them, and then new ones are made. This is a perpetual cycle that I disdain, but we actively pursue such people.
Along with that, every ticket that comes in I get a new list from players of possible hacking accounts. I brew my tea, grab a muffin and enjoy breakfast while I casually click "ban".
I know in this context it might seem like a good opportunity to start calling out hackers, and in truth it can be. Just remember that if you really want to get rid of them, you're going to have to report them. I'm not every where at every moment, but I do play Wolf Team quite heavily, and I get the cheaters I can while in game and by perusing various games.
This post was made primarily to acknowledge that yes there are hackers, but yes I am doing something about them, and YES we will continue to push back for as long as necessary.
Also, many of you have friends who know people that hack. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult for you to find the link to the most recent hack and forward it to us through www.aeriagames.com/contact.
If you did that when you had the chance, we could get a jump on it. (Not to say we're not already aware of many of the hacks, simply, by helping out we can speed up the process together.)
Lastly, please stop calling people out on the forums. I may lock this down soon, but it's nice to let everyone vent in a constructive fashion.
