because if a mage were trying to attack with magic and they started running up afterwards that would mess them up. Also because in close range I wait until the moment my enemy attacks to throw a spell so that way it won't be interupted.

Also, you can solve this problem by double clicking the mob, THEN using skills, at least that always worked for me. It doesn't work well with skills like Stinger though, so use that, double click, and then use skills.

Was I of only help to you? If so, please give me karma! Kthx.

if you place attack into your Hotkey slots then an Attack is just a keystroke away.

Skills do not stop auto attack. They just don't initiate it.

If it bothers you, do what I do:

1) Double click mob to initiate the auto attack.

2) Do ONE round of combat.

3) Use skills

4) Repeat as needed

agree on the skills should iniate auto attack...but only for close combat skills....

Theres no point for a wizard to hurl a fireball from max range ...and then having the toon running for a staff/dagger hit...

Iniating manually the attack from a distance then tapping on a skill while on the way for the mob doesnt work 100%.

You usually need the first hit to be normal just to make sure its on and sometimes thats not good enough [PvP]......

The workaround doesnt make it any less of an annoyance...
