12sky2 and Forum FAQ *Updated as of 1/12/2010*
Helpful links included.
Ok, so I've been seeing a lot of questions asked over and over again on the forums and in game, so I made this post to try and answer most of those questions. If you see something that is not on here but you think should be, just tell me via posting here or pm on forum and I'll edit this.
Q: When do you reach Master level and what benefits are there?
A: Master level is reached at level 113, otherwise known as M1, or Master 1. At M1, you will get 30 stat points now instead of 15. You can reach new zones at M1, such as Solemn Grounds, The Abyss 3rd Floor and so on. You can use new pets at M1. Also, your character will now have folded arms, and a green smoke comming from your body.
Q: What is Master-Apprentice (M-A) / Teacher-Student (T-S) for? What benefits do you get?
A: This is where a player level 113 or M1 and over can "teach" a student level 112 and below. When a M-A is formed, the student must be within sight of the master to get the bonus 1.5x exp. For each mob the student kills, the master will be awarded with some merit points.
Q: What are Heavenly Charms used for?
A: When you become Master 1, you can use Heavenly Charms at the cost of 30 cp to enter Solemn Grounds. Heavenly Charms can be obtained through the gambler, or as a reward from merits.
NOTE: The 30 cp is deducted when you use the Heavenly Charm, not when you buy it.
Q: How can I get a pet? What does a pet do?
A: A pet can be obtained through drops, Chest of Souls, Medals, or bought from other players. When you equip a pet, the EXP bar will show the % of the pet. 100% is max of course. The Activity bar shows the amount of "health" the pet has. To increase the Activity bar, you must feed the pet with Heavenly Fruit. The fruit can be purchased from the Herb Master. There are 4 bonuses pets can give: Damage, Defense, Health, and Chi. Level 1 pets will give 1 of these bonuses. Master 1 pets will give 2 bonuses. Master 15 pets will give 3 bonuses. The Master 33 pet will give all 4. The pet can only gain EXP when it is fed. Pets will not lose EXP if they are not fed, and they will not lose EXP if you die.
There are 5 appearances to a pet. The first appearance change occurs at 25%, next is 50%, then 75%, then final form is 100%.
Q: What is a Game Master? What is a Game Sage?
A: A Game Master (GM) is an employee of Aeria Games who is assigned to look over a game. In this case it's 12sky 2. There are usually multiple GMs assigned to a game. There are many people who try to impersonate GMs. The real GMs will NEVER ask for your password, they can already access this information without asking you. A real GM will have red colored text when they are in-game.
A Game Sage is a person who is chosen by the GMs to assist them, whether it be with events, information, or just making sure the game runs smoothly. A Game Sage is a real person, don't forget that. They all have feelings as well, along with the GMs, they are not robots. A Game Sage can be identified with a [GS] before their name.
Q: What is a God Temple Key for?
A: A God Temple Key can be used at level 100 or over. For each one used, you will be able to access an area called the Labyrinth where you can fight bosses and monsters. The Labyrinth is only open on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at around 6:00 PST or 9:00 EST. God Temple Keys can be obtained through drops from monsters, or drops from PvP.
Q: What are Medals for?
A: Medals are obtained through PvP. At the end of each war, 10 medals will be dropped for the winning faction, and 3 will be dropped for the losing factions. There are 3 kinds of medals: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. When you get a stack of 99, you can bring them to the Guard Captain and exchange them for a prize.
Q: How can I join the Nangins (Sky Clan)?
A: Once you reach Master 1, you will be able to join the Nangins. Talk to your elder and enter the Palace. Talk to the Guardian and click "Join Nangin". When you join Nangins, you will lose your entire friends list, and you will lose your guild. The amount of people that can join Nangins are limited by a point system. For each Master level you are, it will be counted as 1 point. So say you are Master level 20 and your faction has 100 points. When you join Nangins, 20 points will be subtracted from the faction points, and the faction will have only 80 points left.
Q: How do you add CS to elites?
A: The way to add CS (Combined Stage) to elites is contrary to the popular belief that you combine 2 elites. When combining elites, you combine the elite item with a rare item of the same type. The rare item will be the level just below it. So if I had a Master 3 elite blade, I would combine it with Master 2 rare blades.
Q: What does luck do for you?
A: Luck increases your chance to have better drops and to succeed in enchanting, combining, or upgrading. For every 100 luck that you have, your increase rate will be increased by 1%. So in essence, every luck point is equal to 0.01%. Luck can be increased from item drops. Also, Garuda's Prayer will double the amount of luck you currently have.
http://12sky2.mmosite.com/us/guide/enchanting.shtml Here is an enchanting calculator that will predict your success rate for enchants.
Q: How do I seperate a stack of pills, or to buy a certain amount of pills?
A: To separate a stack, hold the Shift key, and then click on the item you want to separate. Type in the number of items you want to seperate, then click and drag to another inventory slot.
Q: How do I add photos to my posts?
A: First you need to upload the picture to a website, such as http://photobucket.com/, or http://imageshack.us/
Then you need to find the Direct Link for the image. I don't know about ImageShack because I don't use it, but with Photobucket it should have the Direct Link as one of the 4 adresses it gives you. With Photobucket though, you don't need the Direct Link. Instead, you can copy the IMG Code and post that into your post and the picture will show. If you have the Direct Link. If you don't have the IMG Code, copy the Direct Link, paste it into your post, and add after it and it should work.
Q: What can be found in a CTD Pet Lotto?
A: Here
Q: What is a Ticket Number for?
A: When you contact AeriaGames via the Contact Us button, you will have a Request Tracker or RT associated with it. This is for Gms so they can easily track your ticket if needed.
Q: What is the Wrath of the Centaur Key used for?
A: The Wrath of the Centaur Key can be purchased via the Herb Master for 1 million silver jeon. It can be used once you hit level 50. The key will give you 12 minutes in the Cave of Darkness. You can access the cave from your Guard Captain. In the Cave of Darkness, there are 2 types of monsters. The Vicious Centaurs, and the Vengeful Centaurs. The Vicious Centaurs are worthless and will drop money, the Vengeful ones will drop 500k silver jeon, give 1 cp, and has a high chance of dropping materials for enchanting, or God Temple Keys.
Q:What are Merit Points, and how do I get them?
A: Merit Points are used to either
1)Get Contribution Points (CP) (This costs 20k Merit Points)
2)Or get a random item. (This costs 200k Merit Points)
The random item is usually a Heavenly Charm, Steel of Eternity, Godsend Lucky Ticket, or Big Lucky Ticket.
To get Merit Points you can either stay logged in the game, and each minute you're logged in will equal to 250 merit points. Or you can be Master 1 or over, and have a M-A relationship with another player. For each monster the master's apprentice kills while the master is near the apprentice, the master will be awarded some Merit Points.
Q: What are Taiyan Keys for?
A: Taiyan keys can be used at Master 33. They allow access to the Edge of Taiyan. The easiest way to obtain Taiyan Keys is through PvP.
Q: I bought an item for a promotion, but didn't get the free item(s). When/where do I get them?
A:: Normally if you buy items with the in-game item mall, they will take up to 14 business days to deliver, they are generally paid out after maintenance on Wednesdays. If you use the Web Item mall, they should be delivered instantly.
Q: When are wars? What are the rewards for wars?
A:: Wars occur periodically based on what level you are. At a war, you will fight against the other 2 (or 3) factions with an objective to win. The objective could be either Annihilation: Your faction must have the most kills by the time limit.
Destroy the Stone: Each faction will have a stone, your objective is to destroy the other faction stones while protecting your own. Winner is the faction with the last stone standing
Capture the Zone: There will be a glowing circle in the middle of the battlefield. A person from your faction must go in the circle and stay in the circle for 5 minutes without moving out. If the person holding the circle moves out, the count is reset to 5 minutes. There is a time limit for Capture Zone battles. If no faction captures the zone within the time limit, it is declared a draw and all factions will be sent home with no prize.
At level 10-89, the rewards will be 10% experience, 100,000 silver jeon from level 10-29, 300,000 silver jeon from level 30-49, 500,000 silver jeon from level 50-69, and 700,000 silver jeon from level 70-89.

The time periods between the wars above is 1 hour.
At level 100-105 and 106-112: the rewards will be 5% experience and 1,000,000 silver jeon.
The time periods between wars is 1.5 hours.

The times between battles is 2 hours from M1-M27, and 2.5 hours from M28-M33.
All the rewards from the wars above is only for the winning faction. The losing factions will receive half of those rewards.
Q: Can we transfer from Twelve Sky 1 to Twelve Sky 2?
A: People who have signed up for transfers are currently scheduled to be moved into Ts2 on 12/23/2009
Q: I bought a PvP chest from the web item mall, why did I get some random item instead of the chest?
A: I don't know this for certain as I myself have not bought one, but I'm 99% sure from other players telling me this that instead of getting an actual chest for you to open, it gives you the item that would have been in the chest.
Q: What is "necroing"?
A: Necroing means to bring up topics that are weeks or months old.
Q: I put in a suggestion in the appropriate place and it's been there for a long time, but nothing has changed about it. Why
A: People put in lots of great suggestions that would benefit the game. However, most of the suggestions put in can not actually be put in place. AeriaGames did not create 12sky2, ALT1 did. Therefore, only ALT1 can actually alter the game features and release new content.
Q: I see people running around with (PVT) and such next to their name. What is that and how do I get it?
A: Those are known as Cp titles are were recently implemented. To get them, you must exchange an amount of Cp them. The price of the titles is as follows:
