Connection issues 09/04

We are aware that many players coming out of Australia are reporting connection issues. At this time it appears that there is a peering problem with Telstra (ISP). We apologize for the inconvienence.

how do i tell my isp ?

im not very techy...so how do i tell my isp, which piggyback off telstra internet, to sell telstra that we are having a problem...

telstra is very slow and acting... unless they are told stuff, it would takes weeks and months for them to notice stuff.

It may be worth it for Telstra users to get in touch with their ISP through phone/email/letter etc and let them know what's going on. Some ISP's are terribly slow on resolving issues (I have such an ISP *sigh*), but I have found that letting them know my problem in great detail helps, especially when I convince my friends to do the very same thing. - More customers with a similar problem makes it worth it for them to fix it. this is sooo awesome, thanks for letting us know.
because i was having a hard time trying to describe what is happening to my isp without them giving me the generic answer "have you restarted your modem" "have you check the phone line" -.-'

thanks matey Smile

From what I've just heard from some Australian players, it should be working for Southern Australia users.

If it doesn't (yet), one of the players was able to find a fix for his problem:

Interesting, where was this exactly? Might be useful for other players to know.

internet options, connection tab, lan settings, tick auto detect settings

Okies, thanks, that will no doubt help some people, have fun ingame

I have no idea if this fix will work for everyone, but who knows, you might be lucky. I haven't been able to try it myself, since I'm not in Australia, but feedback would be nice. Smile
