Poor. Better than terrible, at least.
Domo is a bit better. Welcome to our new PM, VentSol; we're glad to have gotten someone who seems to know their butt from a hole in the ground, even if it does mean we lose Clementine sooner. Announcing AP sales is something that should never have been stopped: that's in your own interest as much as it is ours. I'm glad announcements are back, but I don't know that I'm grateful, since it's something you should have been doing all along.
We continue to not have even halfway-new content in Domo. This is not directly Aeria's fault, but it starts to raise the old argument, "Well, it is your responsibility to pressure Softstar," etc etc. I'm not sure how much I support that particular approach, but the thought has crossed my mind in the past few barren months of Domo play.
In other games, La Tale continues to disappoint. The whole issue of Game Guard aside (I think that if ~14 pages of almost unanimous public outcry isn't enough argument against it, then you guys need to seriously reevaluate your critical thinking process), there have been ongoing, unresolved issues with the Product Manager and the Game Sages behaving in MOST unsatisfactory manners.
For those not in the know, the Game Sages of La Tale had been given GM armor with godlike stat boosters on them. They have admitted to being given the all green to use these armor sets for personal gain, and have been spotted, screenshotted, and reported tanking high level monsters with their low level characters in order to get rare drops and power level their characters. Some of these stats include ridiculous defense which renders the wearer invincible, 100% all movement speed, 100% EXP bonus, 1500% rare item drop rate, 100% item drop rate... The suits have since been taken away, but the issue that the GM did not even LOOK at what they were handing out, and that this GS has not been excused from duties is... troubling, to say the least.
Numerous tickets have been sent in concerning this issue, and it continues to be unanswered (please check mod only forums concerning the complaint.) I can only assume the standards for the La Tale Game Sage, Game Moderator, and Product Manager positions must be lower than low if this sort of blatant elitism is allowed.
Behavoral issues notwithstanding, the Cash Shop itself is... lackluster, at best. I don't mean variety-wise: I know the game just opened and that options will become greater as time passes. I mean Aeria's bullheaded insistence to keep Cash Shop items untradeable. I personally can see very little gain in having a game that is virtually Cash Shop dependent and not allowing Cash Shop items to be traded. And don't give me that "It can be gifted which is the same thing as tradeable," BS. The gifting option is merely giving a convenient, efficient way for scammers to practice their trade and rip off other players, and YOU are fostering that. And anyway, if I wanted a P2P game, I would go subscribe to WoW, not suckle the LA Tale-nontradeable-cash-shop-items teat you guys have set up here.
Not to mention La Tale patches have been rendering Cash Shop Items previously labeled as tradeable as UNtradeable. The PM sees no problem with this and will neither alter the item's decription in the mall to reflect this change nor compensate players who bought the item under her mistaken labelling. In any other company, false advertising is grounds for lawsuits and government shutdowns, but here we are just expected to grin around our mouthfuls of your BS and beg for more. This is a problem.
Ok, so they got a big long and vitriolic, but I only take the time to write all this junk because I actually give a crap. I like these games, I like playing them, and frankly, I even like spending money on them. I buy things that make me happy, and I've quit buying AP because there's nothing here on which to spend it to make me happy. I was looking forward to a new game, La Tale, and instead it's been one snafu after another trying to enjoy the game.
With older games being left for dead and newer games being filled with nothing but lies and false advertising, some serious changes need to start happening to keep from disenfranchising AP spenders, your bread and butter.
