Q: What is iCollector?
A: iCollector is an application for the iPhone that utilizes the GPS system and allows you to locate and collect items that can be used in other games at Aeria Games, or can be sold/bought for iCP.
Q: What is iCP?
A: iCP stands for iCollector Points. These will be equivalent to “Aeria Points”, but are specifically for the iCollector.
Q: Will the application work on iPod Touch?
A: Yes. However in order to collect the items you will need to have an iPhone 3G/S and must have live GPS enabled. All other features for the application will work on the iPod Touch.
Q: How do I locate items?
A: Once you load the application, click on the Search icon. Items around your location will be marked with a Green Pin.
Q: How do I collect the items?
A: Once you have located the items, all you have to do is walk to the coordinates of the item and then you will get a confirmation to collect the item on your phone.
Q: Do I collect real items?
A: No. All of the items available to collect are virtual items.
Q: What kind of items can I collect?
A: Our main focus will be items that can be found in the item mall of our other games. (http://www.aeriagames.com/games). However, we will also occasionally be dropping “coupons” which will allow you to redeem real world items.
Q: What can I do with items from a game I do not play?
A: All items that are collected can be sold for iCP, so you can sell the items you collect that belong to a game you do not play. The iCP you gain can be used purchase items for the game(s) you do play.
Q: Can I find items for all Aeria’s Games?
A: Not currently. We will be adding items for more games in the future!
Q: How do I transfer the items into game?
A: Go to the items menu and press “Use”, you will then get a confirmation that you wish to use this item and it will disappear from your iCollector inventory and go into game.
Q: How often will items be dropped/spawned?
A: This is not something that we can give a definite answer on. Just keep checking around your location for items.
Q: Will this application always be free?
A: Yes! This application will always be free to play.
Q: What if someone beats me to collecting an item I see?
A: It depends on the item. Rare items will be limited to just one, so the first person that gets there will receive the item. However, other items will exist in greater quantities and may be collected by several people - but these still disappear when they are all collected, so do not miss out!
