Crash to Desktop **Updated Information** Please read!

Majority of the time it is when working with EX items or inventory screens
1. A good explanation of the issue you are encountering. What are you doing right before you experience the issue? Crashing while using the fortune boxes...Straight to desktop no errors. Also while working in Inventory Screen, upgrading weapons. Same thing crashes to desktop no errors.

2. What type/speed of internet connection do you have? T1
3. Is your ISP throttling your p2p connections? No
4. What antivirus do you use? Corporate Symantec
5. Are you behind a router? No
6. Wireless or wired? Wired
7. Dual Monitors or single -Single laptop interface
8. Do you use any software firewalls beyond Windows firewall? No

Before you say update drivers, I can't Geforce Go 7900 GS drivers were only manufacturer specific, and Gateway no longer exists, so I can't get a more updated driver than what I have. Plays all games I have tried with no issues. I can play the game itself no problem, its when I try to work in Inventory or with the AP items screens that I crash.

You really have a T1 line? Lucky you (although it looks like you are playing at work)Smile

Since you can play already I'll skip alot of the questions I would ask and just point you to a couple troubleshooting threads that exist already (Some people see the S19 error and others don't. At this point it looks as if this is the same issue). If any of these solutions work for you please post what did work.

It really sounds like it's graphics related in your case though...something about the shading or rendering on one of the inventory pages must be hitting your card/drivers inappropriately. Have you played around with antialiasing and antroscopic filtering settings at all? Are they both currently set to "let the game manage" or "automatic"? I'd suggest messing with them a bit (but remembering where they are now so you can set them back).

Thanks SeeYouInTea for yet another a great Sig!

Yes I have a T1 and no I am not playing at work Smile

I tried turning off antroscopic and antialiasing already instead of application controlled. That didnt help. Also I tried the options for compatibility mode and deleting the asi file and that didn't help either. Once again crashing in the inventory area afte a short period of time.

Very very annoying...

I have been testing this more and now have gotten it to crash with an actual error message.

Hope this helps in solving the issue.

This is a memory error, which is often related to RAM or HDD. Here are a few possible troubleshooting suggestions:

1. Check your RAM for errors (you can get software to help with this)
2. Check your hard drive for errors (chkdsk, etc)
3. Close background applications that may cause conflicts (msconfig is good for this)
4. Check for viruses and other bad things
5. Check hardware drivers for latest version

Ummm Thank you for the information, however, that is about as cookie cutter of a response for Help Desk support as you can get. I have been in IT for over 15 years.

MY RAM is perfectly fine it passes memtest86 just fine, I checked it before I posted, also remember per my first post I can play any game just fine, only this one has issues. I play games with alot more graphical "umph" than this one.

My harddrive does not have any errors either. Chkdsk /r /f comes back with no errors what so ever.

No background apps are running during multiple testing cycles.

I do not have virus's on this machine that I can assure you. It is as clean as a newly formated harddrive.

My drivers are as up to date as I can get them. See post #2.
