Dmg absorsion = +5 Def / -5 dmg recived?
or 5% ???

-5 damage recieved. Im not quiet sure as some info here shown RittzBitz gave to me to add on. I would still need some testers to see if its 5% or not.

I'm unsure on this as well, when the shield is equipped, it only gives it's base def / res, so Damage Absorption is something else, also, there may be different bonuses to different pieces, I have yet to test this.

EDIT::

Did some testing, it seems Damage Absorption does what it says, negates X amount of any damage (magic or physical, haven't tested debuffs)

I am also getting Volunteers to test things aswell so it might be a while til we can determine wether it gives base defense or percentage. Give us some time and we will be able to solve this Very Happy

The mats used to make one of the items (in this case nightmare cores) were now stackable 50+, perhaps an indication of how much is needed for success - 100 mats = 100%? The success I saw used 66 items.

Neat thing is of course that it takes up no slots, just a bonus.

I succeeded using only 3 items, so I don't think it's as simple as that. It's probably a combination of the number of materials and the level of the enhancement. Bless may also have some factor but it doesn't seem like it, both of my successes were at 0 bless.

EDIT : Just enhanced gilter again. It seems to be true that it is a static gain per enhance level.

Used 50 Nightmare cores, succeeded.. may go on to level 3 soon. (would love to see a fail at this level, will it break, or reset to 1?)

If this is true, and the max level is 10 (nice round number) you can add 70 min/max damage and 50 damage absorption. (absorbing 200 damage with 4 level 10 pieces of armor, can you say ouch in 10-15?)

I dont exactly remeber but I think I used about 9 night mare cores and it reverted to 1 giving me 8 in my inventory but im not sure. Maybe it could be with the number or items?

I am not sure at all,
but some items have also some stats written in orange.
Regular gear dropped from the mobs after the upgrade (it didn't affected my old gear) shows the old regular yellow stats(+hp/mp/sp), and these orange which may differ.
For example in map3(AoL) i got 3 different muffles for pagan/orc like this:
1. +500mp
2. +1 REC
3.+ 3 INT. +500 mp

all of them have also the "old" normal bonuses (+xxhp, +xxmp), the same for al the 3.

My hypothesis is that enchanting the item will add also the orange stats.
I'm going to try and make some test as soon as i find something for archer.

EDIT: add the ss:ok, they're not the mufflers but it's the same! Wink,
dropped in map3 from sealakers, same yelow stats(like the NPC ones), different orange stats(ok, VERY different, the first looks not very good for a caster!)

I do believe thats another feature in the game to "craft" those stats onto our old Ep3 items. This is more of a bonus without lapis, however, if you're results prove me wrong, please do post.
