[Bug Report] Defense in PVP Capped at 2000

Summary:
Defense in player vs. player has no effect once it has surpasses 2000.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have two people log into last chaos.
2. Player Z must select a character able to easily surpass 2000 defense.
3. Player X must select a physical damage dealing character, preferably one with a skill that can reduce an opponents defense.
4. Players Z & X must go to an isolated location where pvp can be enabled. (The Dratan arena is strongly recommended if other players are an issue)
5. Player Z & X must not change accessories or alter evasion or hit rate after this point.
6. Player Z must get their defense slightly above 2000 using a combination of armor, buffs, and a passive pet with defense.
7. Player X attacks Player Z with normal attacks barehanded (this is to ensure less variation in damage. Player Z heals as needed.
8. Player Z makes note of incoming damage from Player X.
9. Player Z notices pattern of attack damage. (In the case of my testing, we noted the strongest non-critical or non-deadly damage).
10. Player X stops attacking.
11. Player Z equips strongest armor possible and all possible defensive buffs.
12. Repeat steps 7-10.
13. Player X kills Player Z or waits for Player Z's buffs to expire.
14. Player Z reduces defense to the range of 1900-1999 (Use combination of armor, buffs, pet, and debuffs.
15. Repeat steps 7-10.
16. Player Z reduces defense to the range of 1800-1899 (Use combination of armor, buffs, pet, and debuffs.
17. Repeat steps 7-10.
18. Player Z reduces defense to the range of 1700-1799 (Use combination of armor, buffs, pet, and debuffs.
19. Repeat steps 7-10.
20. Player Z reduces defense to the range of 1600-1699 (Use combination of armor, buffs, pet, and debuffs.
21. Repeat steps 7-10.
22. Player Z reduces defense to the range of 1500-1599 (Use combination of armor, buffs, pet, and debuffs.
23. Repeat steps 7-10.

Observed Result:
Defense does not have any effect on damage received past 2000.

Expected Result:
Defense should have an effect on damage receive once it exceeds 2000.

Frequency:
10/10

that makes a whole lot of sense to me... i knew there had to be a cap but wasnt sure where it was. it fits with what i had observed though, least kinda... i noticed def seemed to matter less and less during and after the 5x range... which is when most armor classes can get to about the 2k mark...

nice work you 2 (never send a new school to do the job of an old school? :p )

Yup this is so true and it's been like that for a long time, that's why you always hear people complaining about defence making no difference in PvP, and that's why it's so unbalanced too, a char with 2k def takes same damage as one with 6k and that's a good reason rogues/archers own in PvP

TK should be better in PvP
I have 9800 defense and it's completely worthless in PvP the shield should be uysed to server dinner not my defense as it is now.

i agree with this ppl put deff in to pvp i go solo lots(get large mobs) of stuff deff works miricals then same ppl that kill me in pvp(seems i caint touch them) have troubel with the same mob with just one. yet i caint i hit them in pvp or the 1 hit me

lol i want some news and word from gms. i always knew there was something bugged with pvp and thank god you guys have found out what it is. This above anything else is the number 1 bug in lc at the minute and needs fixed. (p.s try testing this in dcs im sure deff still counts there not 100% sure but i seem to last alot longer than 30% reduction of damage would grant)
