I prefer subbed. It's more original, and like others have said, in dubbed series, the translations are lost. Very Happy

I like both. I don't mid dubbed as long as the voice actors don't make me cringe.

Although i prefer Subs over dubs; i don't necessarily mind hearing it in English as long as the original content and story is not jeopardized for the sake of "Westernizing" the material.

But..

Let's face facts, even Pocket Monsters had those few magical moments where the content was a bit questionable for the targeted western demographic when it came over, and it didn't stop 4Kids Entertainment from cutting those scenes out so western eyes would never see it.

4Kids even had the balls to edit a Character in One Peace, essentially turning the character that was originally portrayed in the Japanese version as an African American character, to a Caucasian character; why? i have no idea.

This will give you a bit of an idea of how damaging Dubbing anime can actually be if put in to the wrong hands.

It's probably easier to Dub an anime that is written with Western/European culture already at the core of the material.

Subbed for me. ^^
I can learn some Japanese vocabulary when I'm watching anime with subs xD

Ditto. Gotta be subbed. I can understand most dialog now without even having to read the text. You can catch on pretty quick.

Also, it is too hard to find a decently dubbed version of any anime. D:

Well, it depends on the job they did for dubbing it. Sometimes, as lots of people have already said, they change the anime/doesn't do a good job. But I don't mind dubs, especially if the voice actor is good. Razz One reason I don't like subs is cuz I hate reading them. It distracts me from the anime.

Subs. No matter what movie / anime / TV-show, DUBS BLOW. You can catch some of the foreign phrases as well. Regardless, dubs just sound so wrong.
