the game will run fine when i am alone, but when another player comes on screen the game lags like no tomorrow. and in towns its even worse.

Have you turned down all the graphic in game? This should help.

As stated elsewhere here, Last Chaos places huge demands on your computer's resources. If you are running the game and still experience large amounts of lag, check out the recommended computer resrouces for the game -- note I said recommended, not minimum.

If your computer meets the recommended resources to play the game, you should not have any major problems playing it. If your computer does not meet these, you need to upgrade your computer or strongly consider moving to a less demanding game.

Sadly, most, of not all the good games out there require fairly up-to-date equipment. The days of being able to have almost all the new games work properly using a P3 Processor, 256MG RAM and 32MG video are over.

Also try increasing the virtual memory to see that if it helps.

I would also If in your situation, turn all other prosses off, aim, messenger, xfire, any Internet explorer webpages, music, ext. off this will help a huge deal in your computers performance.

My system surpasses the required resources and sometimes I lag and DC, usually when near certain players and only them. This has happened on other games in the past and the players doing it were eventually identified and banned. Go figure.


With any game the more RAM the better and having a great Video card, DSL or cable and a fast processor makes a lot of difference, there still remains the (possible) issue of certain players manipulating the data.
