Everyone in the competitive circuit knows what guns and equipment fits them best. Every gun has a description and plenty of stats. But still, there are stats and features from guns that remain unrevealed for players or there are simply too much of those stats to remember them all. So combine that with the Teamwork Challenge and this guide was born!
We sincerely hope this guide has some use to it. If the community likes this guide, we might want to expand it with whatever feedback we get.
Have fun reading!
Explanation and calculation of the hidden stats
For both the pointman and rifleman class we choose to look into the following stats: Armor penetration, Wall penetration, Draw time, Reload speed, Bloom recovery, Moveshot, ROF, Amount of shots and Time to kill.
For the sniper class we removed the ROF, Amount of shots and Time to kill part for obvious reasons. In addition we replaced the Bloom recovery for Noscope.
For the pistols we removed the ROF and Time to kill part.
Further explanation for the measured stats:
- Armor Penetration (AP)
: How well are the shots from a gun able to ignore armor. (Good, Decent or Bad)
- Wall Penetration (WP)
: Some guns are able to inflict damage to a player through certain walls where other guns are not able to. (Yes or No)
- Draw Time (DT)
: How long does it take to pull out a gun. In seconds. (measured with Dxtory and Sony Vegas 12*)
- Reload Speed (RS)
: How long does it take to reload a gun. In seconds (measured with Dxtory and Sony Vegas 12*)
- Bloom Recovery (BR)
: How fast does the crosshair recover after firing bullets. (Fast, Decent or Slow)
- MoveShot (MS)
: How well is a gun fireable while moving (not shifting!) around. (Good, Decent or Bad)
- Rate Of Fire (ROF)
: How fast does it take a gun to fire one bullet. Time to fire a whole clip (full auto!) divided by the amount of bullets. (measured with Dxtory and Sony Vegas 12*)
- Amount of Shots (AoS)
: How many shots does it take to kill an enemy at a certain distance. Shots are fired in the upper chest.
- Time to Kill (TtK)
: ROF multiplied with AoS
- NoScope (NS)
: How good are the bullets from a sniper gun centred when hip firing. (Good, Decent, Bad)
*Recorded with Dxtory at 60 fps. Imported in Sony Vegas 12 and measured the stats with markers. (one for when the action starts, one for when it ends)
All test were performed with standard armor on the default rifleman character.
