Ms's Bard/Bow Guide - DPS Bard & PvP Support

*IN THE WORKS* (No further updates until start of April)
I've decided I'd like to work some on a Bard/Bow guide - I've really enjoyed playing this class combo (plus there doesn't seem to be much of a guide for PvPers).
I will try my best to provide new information instead of repeating what's already been said in numerous guides.
I don't plan to go into great detail when it comes to basics regarding the game - this guide will be meant for experienced players as the other guides have done a nice job of covering the basics.

I've spent today putting together some things here and there, some new, and some you may have seen posted around already, to get this guide started.
I will continue to add more information overtime.

What I have planned for this guide so far:
Equipment - Both PvE and PvP.
Skills - Basics as well as effectiveness comparisons for both PvE and PvP.
Envoys/Build - Most likely multiple for different play-styles.
Tactics/Techniques/Weaknesses - Both PvE and PvP.
Eidolons - Where and how they should be used.
Technical Comparisons - HP vs DEF vs Dmg Reduction, ect.
Formulas - Calculated to exact numbers.
Videos/Other - For strategies, pulling, soloing, and anything else I can think of/is requested.

Feel free to ask questions in this thread or use it for simple discussions, just please don't PM me unless absolutely necessary - and if you do it may be a few days for a reply because I don't check them often. xD

My Bard Experience
Initially I started as Bard/Sorc - it's all I played in Closed Beta and all I played for the first month or so of AK's release.
I was a huge PvP fanatic but then got extremely bored of PvP and decided to switch to Bard/Wiz around level 60+ish.
I've spent the last month or so playing as Bard/Wiz (now level 67... been sucha lazy leveler since 65).
I've spent the last week playing as Bard/Bow and it's been a blast.

All subs are good, and which sub fits you best will be based on your play-style.
I have some Sorc vs Wiz vs Bow comparisons in the post below - I hope to go into more detail with these in the future.

Current Stuff in this Guide (not much atm!)
Sorc vs Wiz vs Bow - Very basic comparison.
Skills - In-depth details and some telegraphs for fun.
Envoy - Just a few builds.
Formula - The first of many formulas to come!
Videos - A couple short videos of nothing exciting.

Update Log
CURRENTLY ON VACATION, NO FURTHER UPDATES UNTIL START OF APRIL
    3/11/2014 - Added lvl 55, 66 and two 75 builds for Envoys
3/13/2014 - Started on Equipment Section

Sorc vs Wiz vs Bow
So is Bow actually a good sub class choice for you?
Bow is a good median in between Bard/Wiz and Bard/Sorc, but that doesn't mean it'll be what you're looking for.

Choosing between Sorc, Wiz and Bow isn't about choosing the "best", it's about choosing the "best for your play-style".
There is no bad or worse between those 3 choices. Some excel in other areas while some don't and all 3 are 100% capable of properly doing their job as a Healer.

Here is a basic ranking I made to provide comparison:

Bard/Sorc
    PvP General: A
    PvP CC: A
    PvP Utility: B

    PvE General: C
    PvE CC: C
    PvE Utility: B

Bard/Wiz
    PvP General: B
    PvP CC: C
    PvP Utility: C

    PvE General: B
    PvE CC: A
    PvE Utility: B

Bard/Bow
    PvP General: B
    PvP CC: C
    PvP Utility: A

    PvE General: A
    PvE CC: C
    PvE Utility: A

It basically comes down to this:
Bard/Sorc - For players who enjoy PvP and/or being "full support" while taking the tankiest choice of the 3 subs.
Bard/Wiz - For players who enjoy decent DPS and PvE CC while not being keen on PvP.
Bard/Bow - For players who seek the highest DPS possible while being valuable in PvP and exceling in 1v1 duels.

Remember Your Role as Bard Main
Regardless of what sub class you pick, remember your primary role:
To keep yourself and party members alive.

Do not let "highest DPS" and "PvP kills" go to your head.
If you start focusing too much on these, your value as a Bard will diminish.
Your Defensive skills ALWAYS take priority over Offensive.
Don't let your party members die just because you wanted to get an extra hit in or simply weren't paying attention because you were too busy DPSing - it's the #1 cause of why people dislike Healers who DPS.
