There is no reason for anyone to get items sniped from them, I already did a guide for how to completely avoid this.
This isn't a new subject, those of us who have been playing for well over a year, have already had this issue come up, and learned how to cope with it.
I'm going to guess that this issue has already been forwarded to the developer a number of times throughout the past couple of years. I do not think the developer wish to alter the auction system and Aeria CAN'T do it themselves or we likely would have already seen a change brought in.
Read the guide on avoiding auction sniping, train your new members and people you intend to trade with, on how to use the auction system quickly and efficiently. Avoid linking or mentioning items you intend to sell in Alliance/Kingdom or world chat.. Keep your trade intentions private in tells or PM and LOOK around the auction area to see if any known snipers are hanging out by Collette. The past two times I was on Levi when people got items sniped, I SAW one of the usual culprits standing right at Collette. If you see one standing there, maybe that moment isn't the best of times to go selling an item unless you can guarantee the buyer is gonna grab it in under 5 secs.
