PenguinsFly's Katar/Ravager build guide

Hazza!

Well I've been saying that getting Katar as a sub will make you lose a lot of advantage compare to getting it as a main.

Katar's envoy path is really amazing.
Katar's need its low CD skills for faster charges thus, getting him as a sub will make his charges...Charge slower.

Katar/Rav is a really strong PvE combination. If you want to 1v1 PvP, just focus on the Katar skills alone. It will be enough to kill someone in a duel. And if you want Arenas...Just combine their skills depending on the situation.

Main Class: Katar
Sub Class: Ravager
Level: 55

Character Stats

Offense:
DMG - Lv24
CRT - Lv50 (I will be stopping at lv50 because I already have a lot of CRIT buffs to maintain over 50% Crit)
SPD - Lv0

Defense:
HP - Lv0
DEF - Lv66 (Full Def! Go go go)
EVA - Lv0

Envoy Path

Level 55:

That's my goal for my Katar/Ravager =3.

Feel free to criticize, insult, or correct my build! It would be really helpful if you did =).

P.S. If you're thinking of going full EVA for "PvP", don't. Your main defense in this build is killing them before they even touch you =P. And you got def so, yey.

Katar is squishier than a Duelist.
This is key.

I don't like Weak Point Analysis being picked up like that, so if possible, just learn ONE 3.2% Weak Point Analysis 3. and go on from Crit Rate. That last point can be put to something more defensive which is up around there in the Paths.

having more than 40% accuracy is just excessive. Any class can do just fine with 30%.
A very successful build would be accuracy on both weaps and 6% cdmg on all stones.
Your accuracy will only go up over time, while EVA still has the same cap.

Also that envoy uses nodes which will not be out when katar first starts, both of those are on the advanced envoy which we won't have for awhile (the basic envoy we have now has no skill-specific nodes, and less unique nodes)
Not sure exactly which unique nodes will be available when it is first released.

And props on the stalking cores, not many people know to use them (they are the best core for any DPS class)

Sorry to pop in, but some of those ER passives might not be available on release, since I think some of those came in the Warbow patch.

Stalking core simply takes the most advantage of added stats

It's based on character points and what they add on % values
I don't remember the exact values
but it's something around this

1 damage point = .35%
1 crit point = .25%
1 spd point = .20%

1 HP point = .55% HP
1 DEF point = .20% def
1 EVA point = ?? (who cares)

stalking cores = 1% def, 1% crit
which maximizes points in the important areas

1% def and 1% crit is equal to 5 character points in defense, along with 4 character points in crit

VS say a bestial core which is 1% HP 1% dmg

1% dmg = 3 charcter points in damage, 1% HP = 2 character points in HP

So say you have 40 points in def, and 40 points in crit. With 1% added def/crit you could reset and take 4 points from crit and add them to damage for an extra 1.5% damage, and take 5 points from def, add them to HP and have 2.5% HP. After taking these points you would have the same def/crit, but basically have an extra 1.5% damage and 2.5% HP as a core stat. (it's a little confusing)

That's generally how you compare % values for anything, in order to maximize what's useful
It isn't a huge difference, but every bit counts. You could use a spd/def core, but spd isn't as important.

Edit: I think i'll make a guide on this
