Dream state passive does work as intended. It will increase the numerical value of your defence by 75% when you are stunned. For example, you have 10000 defence, which is 50% dmg reduction (as an example). Dream state would increase this value by 7500, making your defence 17500, which is 75% damage reduction, because defence is capped at 75% dmg reduction. Without the increase in defence, you would only have 50% dmg reduction.
edit: and yes it means that dream state is useless
edit again: ok i didnt bother to read some of the posts above It will decrease the amount of damage you take by 75% after you have taken into account defence. Example: normally you take 10000 with zero defence. If you cap defence, you will only take 2500. Now dream state comces into effect, reducing the 2500 damage you would of taken by 75%, effectively your taking 625 damage
Thx for the insight and reply. However, I'm not talking about dream state, i was just using it as an example.
My main question is:
Can/do buffs, passives etc go beyond the cap limit.
For example if there was a buff that increased your def % by 20%
and you currently have 75% def also assuming no debuffs in effect.
Does that mean with buff you have 95% def effectively going over the 75% cap with buff OR
does it mean you have 95% def but it is still capped at 75% therefore the buff is useless and is only good for countering debuffs?
