just remembered, City of heroes also had a battle slowdown function. if you attack any target you are automatically 'taunted' into that fight and walking away is slow, very slow. like moonwalk speed for non-defense heavy characters. gotta have taunt resistence to be able to get away fast.

that is the fix for PVP.

cause right now a sentinel can run at 3 times the speed of a whipper, I've seen them move like lightning, they make one attack and run like Hard, well well, if we pt in a taunt function they would have to move at a snail's pace after each attack for about 20 seconds. and really thats not much a whipper might not even be in range by then.

a) Running away from PvP by speedy classes is one problem but it should be a strategic element. (No slow skills is more the problem)
b) Not been able to "unbike" other player is stupid.
c) Damage bonus from good equipment.. in the moment many fights are simply P2W .. the one with the bigger + on his equipment owns the other one. Even minor difference in character level and or equipment level result in pure one way fights.
e) Skill activation lag .. especially for none American players the lag between pressing the skill button and real activation is sometimes stupidly long. The skill queuing doesn't seem to work correctly as very often i need to press a skill button 3-4 times before it is marked for execution.
d) but My most hated problem is stunning/locking up. I regularly get owned by good SW simply been stun locked. I guess most know the feeling of this. You start your Nami escort quest and at the higth of the stairs .. plop 1k crit SW backstabed you. Before you can do anything plop your stunned and before you can do anything at all your dead as he can hold you in stun for 4-6 seconds if he know his class and with even one crit. on the big hitters your dead even if you have 4k health. (I know that because i do that regularly as SW on my own, in wore case i'll enter mech form at the end to finish you off)
The same is for BGs .. your try to enter the front line .. plop stunned and slaughterd. I think any class should get a stun breaker skill with a valid cool down (1-3 min) so you have a chance to act or at least some form of dimishing returns.

Not just this... but

sometimes 12 vs 25 is a bullsht-..

3v3 -5v5 -15v15 - and 30v30 would be fine ...-.-

but in that case that those people would ACTUALY BE THERE
( I dont scream - its just shift.))
Also I nnoticed when I have played with my friend - she is whipper I am medic I got 15 kills she got 5 She died 17x I died 5x

So why the Hard the contribution made her 1st in rank . and Me + others with even better kill /death score was at last? ( yes we did attacked the oponents base/box/guards w/e )

I just wonder ... did I missed something ? O.o

First contribution means nothing .. it's only you ***** for that BG session, don't know if you get better final exp if your 1st place. You get exp and rang points purely for kills .. as well as loot.

Second contribution is different by classes. As a healer you get contribution only for healing (others?). Damage and kills don't offer contribution as a healer. As a whipper you get contribution only for damage.. so she died 17time yeah but she jump the hord and damaged tons of players helping your side to kill them. A defender get contribution only for been damaged. So if you are last in the list it's simply because you didn't fullfill the role of you class. You didn't healed anyone.

Nah We tryed that too . gathered full pt ( she ofc ran to oponents by solo Very Happy and died ( that is why she died so often )

I kept healing others in the party. There was 2nd healer with me and she was attacking . In the end she got more contri than me and my friend whiper.

I dont understand how it works we tryed it via many ways to know where you get more contri .
Maybe we ... I don t even know xD

it's realy as i said but the heal contibution seem to be counted with the same "weight" then the damage one. You can very quickly do 10.000 damage as a whipper resulting in let's say 1000 contribution as a healer you can't heal 10.000 damage as quickly to get the same rate.

Glad to see theres some good discussion in here, I agree with whats being said.

after a few days of being too fed up with the game to even check the forums I've come up with 'why' Scarlet Blade's PVP doesn't work

this is a Massively Multiplayer game but they have the player versus player Statistics set-up just like the Player versus environment statistics.

in a successful PVP set-up there is no 'quick kill' option, yet scarlet blade does just that, that means theres no reaction time.

Problems, PVP too fast!;

1: not enough reaction time to turn on defensive abilities or activate hypovials and fight back.

2: Regeneration of HP stops in battle (without a hypovial) and is the same for all units (tank types should have decent regen as should medics in battle.)

3: Recharge of SP stops in battle (without a hypovial)

Overpowered Skills, hp doesn't last long enough to formulate a plan:

1: all the different Architypes (WH, DE, SW, PU, SE, ME) are set to overkill mode in PVP this is intended to make PVP a quick battle.

well I say it's too quick!

1 on 1 PVP even with a level difference of 5 should not be faster than say 3 minutes a kill so long as players skills are geared.

Ranged players should be quicker to die than others but still nothing under 2 minutes in 1 v 1.

aka as of now there is no PVP strategy, thats why this game sux, the kills are too fast for strategy.

PVP needs a statistical slowdown

Might I suggest you to Hello Kitty:Island Adventure. Seriously, the classes are balanced as best they can due to their different styles of gameplay. And regardless of the class skill will always be the determining factor to how well the characters are played.

You already received a plausible answer, if the gameplay is too fast for your reactions then follow the suggestion and find a other game and move on

Silly person who knows nothing of game development.

this isn't a case of stoping playing and moving on, I'm trying to help the developers help themselves, you see they made the PVP statistically too fast,

now that does work very nicely in 1 player instances or even in PVE, but statistically with all the versitile classes we have it can't work in PVP, they need to fix this or their game will loose massive amounts of players irregardless how horny they are.

even porn gets boring if you have to get PWNed 1000 times before you get any actual enjoyment out of it.

fact is people will get tired of playing it.

I have never seen people jump into an MMO this fast before; I mean it was instantaneous, BAM Spammers, BAM leveling bots, BAM market price skyrocket, BAM Hacking, BAM people found out they can bypass a fight in PVP if they always use certain moves (exploits).

so, um, angle in equals angle out right? for every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction right?

the same is true in these instances;

not too long from now;

BAM massive amounts of players leave the servers due to the overpowered fast pace PVP with exploits. BAM legitimate playing people leave due to too much hacking. BAM people stop giving a crap about the game cause the market is hopelessly high, BAM only the leveling bots are left, BAM the servers go quiet, BAM the spammers leave (one good thing lol), BAM the 3 servers get merged into 1, BAM Aeria considers sunsetting the MMO as a failure.

simple as that, I'm speaking up now so that the devs can avoid that problem.

you may not be able to contemplate that; what I said actually is a game breaking problem, because you are a meatbot, you are a player not a developer so it's hard for you to see this, all you see is "if I use that skill I can kill fast like rilfoPWNing LUL".

from one developer to another, Liveplex, seriously fix the PVP and the market and put in some decent anti-hacking.

thats the problem though, when you release a game first in a country full of hackers they make and publish those hacks online before the game is released to the USA. then the USA servers are flooded with hackers cause well.. do I need to finish that sentence? oh fine... because it's easy, because someone in asia already did the hardwork!
