Two of the new team members are a little eyebrow raising, from behavior that I've seen of them across several games' forums, but congrats to those that deserve it. Hope to see none abusing their powers in the name of 'harmless trolling'.

The moderation team has very high standards for responsibility and confidentiality. If you are really interested in joining, you may wish to ask members of the mod team or the GM of your favorite Aeria game to garner their support.

I don't agree with some of the choices, however for the sake of the program i hope they proove me wrong.

The whole process didn't work well in my opinion, the picks did not reflect the quality of those who applied, not having a process where the applicants could speak their mind and defend their application didn't help as well in making sure the suitable candidates would be selected.

I'd like to bring a couple of points that i'm sure a lot of people have noticed, if this wasn't made public how did you expect good applicants to apply? How were some non GSes picked if this wasn't announced publicly?? Also, it doesn't look good that most people came from the same background, as im sure you understand what i'm implying here.

Nevertheless like i said, this is my opinion about this process and i hope things are a bit more open and better done if they ever want to make them again. Really hope i'm wrong about my doubts on some picks.

I also like to wish good luck to both Faely and Amigo for making it, i had the pleasure of working with both of you in the past and i'm sure you will do great things in this new position.

Candidates for the forum moderation team do not apply for the position, but are nominated by Aeria staff or existing members of the team. While they can share their interest in joining the team to those who would then nominate them, there is no 'application' process. Those nominated are then discussed with Aeria staff who have worked with them directly, other members of the forum team, and have their post and account history reviewed. Those who make it beyond this point are put into training.

The notice that the team was looking for new members was made public to the existing GameSage teams and to all GameMasters. If you were not currently on the GameSage team or were not notified by someone on the GS/GM team you may not have heard that we were looking. However the number of potential candidates this would exclude would be very limited. It has also been included on the Forum Moderation Team Revitalization post for quite a few months now that joining the team requires a nomination, plenty of time to talk to those people who can help make that happen for you.

Overall, the process has worked out quite well for intended purposes of the forum moderation program.

Well as I said to quote in full context:

I was away for a while so therefore I was not aware whether they had been posted or not.

Either way I will reserve judgement on the new additions to the team. Hopefully they will all do their job in a professional manner. We most definitely needed more in particular in European time slot. So I am glad that at least we have more on the team. I am sure Palladin will nip any less than professional behaviour in the bud and hopefully in the future it will be a little more open.
