The Ford Capri RS 3100 was developed by Ford Advance Vehicle Operations (AVO) for the racing arena, at the time it was the fastest production Ford car at 0-60 MPH in 7.2 seconds! Rumor has it that it was built to do battle with the BMW 3.0 CSL on the track.
The Ford Capri RS3100 Gr.4 is a high-performance race car based on the 1972 to 1973 Ford Capri Mk1. The Group 4 RS3100痴 3.4L V6 engine was developed and tuned by Cosworth into the GAA, with 3412 cc, fuel injection, DOHC, four valves per cylinder and 435 hp (324 kW) @ 8,750 rpm. Rear wheel drive (RWD) and a top speed of 151 mph (243 km/h) in racing trim.
Because of its race heritage Ford Capri RS 3100 is one of the rarest and most desired Capris today! With a race inspired vintage livery in white/green, gold mesh spoked wheels with chrome lips and a CAPRI license plate do not pass up on the chance to own a part of motor racing history.
