Well, now I just feel silly.
Now that was ironic!
Oh man, I just checked out that post. That had me rolling on the floor!
While I don't play that game, typos are cropping up in SB as well. Nowhere near those levels, though, but still enough to bug me.
To answer your demand, it's because they're minor- they're down low on the priority list, even though that'd be a great way to get some noticeable work done and restore some morale around here. I mean, you could have one or two guys do 90% of the proofreading! They don't even need to original entries for minor typos and grammar mistakes, in a lot of these cases you can simply add or drop a word, or change one and it'll at least not sound bizarre. For those gaping ones, sure, you'd need a specialist to re-decypher the original and put it into English/German/Italian/what have you properly, but there *hopefully* a lot less common.
Re-reading Relaera's post, they don't need to really take it offline in the middle of the day. They can use posts like these, feedback from the community or their own accounts to run through the game and spot typos, note them, slam out a quick fix and attach it to a collection for the next patch date for application.
