Depending on what's server-sided, it should. I mean World of Tanks is virtually a 100% server-sided and it officially hasn't heard an ounce of hacking incidents.
Only problem is the fact that Red Duck probably wouldn't want to invest a large capital into recoding for a 50/50 server-sided game, especially when all the other versions rarely hear of hacks.  


Making a FPS game totaly server sides is a Brilliant thing to do, it makes everyone so much slower, fps games are mostly client sided because it's way faster to make things register etc.
