Okay firefux, second time I type all this crap, you better not crash again.

Hi. I'll probably be ignored, but oh well, just wanted to say I agree with Purple, and if you have any common sense, you should too. Gladiator tourneys and gladiator in general should be open, appealing to as many people as possible, not ran by and catered for the same tired posse of jaded veterans with their gross bias in standards of what constitutes a fair fight and a skilled gladiator.

Obviously I agree with the premises of fair pings, equal gear, no hacking, the usual crap everyone said. Pedaling isn't so simple. Couple years ago when the term was first coined, it referred almost exclusively to abusing lag (even low pings, really) with bait and switch techniques like backwards ground slashing or butterfly. Fast forward a few years later and you have this generation of entitled children ready to verbally maul you at the first sign of not using exclusively W to move around in a fight. Dash instead of standing there vblocking? PEDDLE! Butterfly sideways a bit as defense? PEDDLE! Not running face first into some guy's pseudo-offensive trap? OMFG STOP PEDDLE! I didn't watch Josh or whoever else's replays, maybe that guy just shimmied sideways the whole time, and clearly that's pretty stupid, but otherwise a bit of pussyfooting is bound to happen in a fight, and it's alright even if unpleasant. Generally speaking, everyone needs to calm their tits about it is what I'm saying.

Anyway, I think the tourny went alright all things considered. Coulda been better, but hey, this is gunz, not some MLG crap. Personally, I'd have liked to see a more flexible time table (fighting in the afternoon when you're reasonably fresh and energetic vs fighting at 1-2am like some sort of rat), more rounds (or best 2 out of 3 sets), better matching per pings maybe, and at least iron kodachis as a rusty sword counterpart. Other than that I think the GMs, GS or whatever have the right general idea. Whatever you plan to do though, regarding what I originally said about glad being open, I ask that you please, please do NOT put even one person from this circle of cooldudes in any official position (If you really must, Jeff would indeed be alright, the only viable choice really) otherwise you might see tourneys made of 10 slots, 8 of which occupied by friends or friends of friends of the gladiator cooldude circle, and if you so much as dash backwards once or look at he organizer funny, you'll get a swift dq...unless ofc you're part of the gladiator circle of cooldudes.

So yeah, just my two cents here I guess. Oh, that massive glitch? Bugger, but it doesn't make or break a 1on1, so again, chill. Think of it as failing your massive spam reflex saving throw or whatever. And that whole sworder versus gladiator argument. Who the **** came up with that? More material for entitled self righteous kids to gloat over in glad games, as if we didn't have enough of that.

Please keep the posts respectful and relevant to the original topic. We need to keep this thread clean in order to continue a discussion on how we can improve and host better tournaments in the future. Posting otherwise may motivate a forum moderator or GM to lock this thread.

That being said, what did you guys think of the weapon selection? Not on what types of weapons should be allowed but more of the level, such as level 10 Iron Kodachis. I thought I might see 1 kodachi user in the tourny but I didn't see one!

@Formalitys

are you going to reply about my question about fixing the massive glitch or just ignore it like it's not a problem at all? Do you have any power at that with your "Game Sage" rep to contact MAIET or do anything about the glitch, or is it just gonna sit there and pile up with more glitches?

I dont think sages have any influence over the patches. since they cant get rid of the patch they are going to ban it from the tournament next time.

You didnt see any kodachi users in the tournament because absolutely NO ONE will use Outdated Kodachis 12 damage is horrendous. People are used to using(abusing) Lightweight Kodachis if they use them because its the same damage as a sword but if you want fairness for kodachis speed it would be Iron Kodachis (which no kodachi user uses cuz they like to be little scrubs and use Lightweights). Remember DDagger's argument about using an underpowered dagger no one uses? yeah its kind of the same thing here.

Haha yeah he threw me off though when we sparred a bit and he used a sword before the tourny. Should have known better that he would use kodachis anyway.

Iron Kodachis seem like a fair compromise, I also thought lightweight shouldn't be used.

Rofl, fallenangel I don't understand what you're trying to say. 'We', for example, never brag about your peddling and we wouldn't DQ anyone instantaneously in general. The only logical approach would be there's going to be a warning-system.

Also, the only 'modification' 'we'(gladeater cricle) would put is to balance out the REGIONS with the SKILL levels so that pings and skills don't decide the quick results of fights and everyone gets an EQUAL chance to succeed in the tourny. DolphinRider chewed down Lily, wazp, randy AND crawly all on his own while you for example didn't really have a challenge in the tourny.

Also, 'Friends of friends only'?
I'm not gonna rant off deviok although he's been a deluded bumhole to me but take a look at this:

Unfortunately, this tourny won't be for anyone, it'll be for the people who honestly believe their skills are up to the challenge, and also for people who I know are good and qualify Smile

So if you know I know you, or think you're good, you can post your ign asking me if you can join, if you're qualified, I will add your name to the list of contestants and pm you.

How are there that many contestants when no one posted? You just puttin' them in there?

Deviok wrote:

They're mostly clan mates who I either know will do it, or I make them Very Happy I also said how they're unconfirmed, see? I choose my words carefully Smile

So shall I add your name to the list or not?

Now, let's look at the list:

20.Vilify
21.WholeSaints
22.Divined

24.FaLLen Angel (You)
25.Tony

That's almost all of pendulum 2007. Again, I'm not into drama so like I said: I'm not ranting him off or calling Deviok out. It's that you forget that he's also a gladiator(or in your definition of gladiator as you said) and in his prime around 2007 was top at his field of expertise as well...

Now, I'm not saying Deviok can't host this tourny. I'm saying that he wouldn't do it any more different than any glad with a logical mind would. He's got it as much as we all do and that's why this tourny wouldn't be any more different if it was Deviok or let's say Viper hosting it.

1) Agreed with everythin yin & ab said (Peddle Tourny 2013)

2) Ban "Ranger" from gunz cuz this kid kept DDOSing every round when I was winning 9-2 and the GameSage didn't say crap

3) I don't know who controls the updates for gunz, but why the **** have you not fixed that stupid massive glitch. Ever since this game's been bought out by Aeria, it went down the crapper. Would it honestly kill you to make a God **** clan page and a user-friendly interface for the gunz section?

Wasted a pretty good game, such a shame lol.
no, it's really NOT a shame. it's a game. so no, it's not a waste of anything really. it doesn't change anything. it's not a bummer situation. nothing bad has happened.

i don't think you have ever amounted to anything in this game ever. Lol i don't know why you hang around this forum pissing in every "gladiator" thread. No one has really ever liked you on here, and you're so obsessed about this game that you feel the need to make4 different accounts on the forum. It's funny, sometimes when you start a thread you log onto 2 different accounts and comment on your own thread. You must have a lot of free time on your hands. Fvcking cockless ******

ohno peddleswag getting a lot of hatery from gladiator after gladiator
there is really no need to cry and share your anguish on the forum. If you got a problem, hire a shrink to talk to about it. There we go again, a bunch of 'GunZ Gladiators' that grew up on the internet (don't call it Gladiator because it's not REAL gladiator you premature nubs) egoing me, you REALLY think I'm going to show respect to any of these nabs huh; foolish to think that...as far as why I continuously post: you could figure that out by yourself too LuoNubHan, brown guy that got real ambition oh yeah some REALLLL ambition.

I mean 9/10, these egotistical GunZ baddy so called 'GLADIATORS' incorporate their ego in their posts and turn it into an argument, ALMOST ALWAYS just like here. LOL and please I never act proud of what I do, just troll and fake arrogant behavior that apparently you nabs take seriously. Trust me, I'm not like you lmao misery does love company, but don't bring me down to your level.

Wow ok im done he stole my quote again: I don't care I'm not your psychologist. But, he twisted it into "hire a shrink to talk about it".

Go away rebelswag. You trying to be a hipster while being unoriginal is as hypocritical as one can be.

DmC: Devil May Cry would be a great game to satisfy your puberty/rebellion. GunZ isn't your thing.

Sorry, somehow I didn't see this post as I was reading this thread over the first time. Regarding the glitch, it has already been passed down to the GMs almost immediately after the Blitz update. GameSages are not paid employees by Aeria and we do not contact Maiet about issues. In reality, GameSages are regular players just like yourself. But we do pass them down to GMs as we have pretty much passed down all the important issues in GunZ already. The massive glitch is detrimental to gladiator and I was hoping it would be fixed now. For that reason, I will try bringing up this issue again.
