I just got my servers to show up, however now it's saying my login is outdated or something lol! >< So, what I did was I deleted gunz. Come to find out I still had ijji gunz on my computer so I went through and made sure it was all gone. Then I reinstalled regularly, didn't disable anything. After the installation I went to sleep without even trying to start the game. Woke up this morning and I had a firewall alert to allow AKAMAI. I believe that was the problem. Make sure that it is getting through and it is installed on your programs list in your control panel. Good luck.

Also noticed that "Skip Update" is no longer in the bottom left of my launcher.

msconfig usually only has the GUI portion of a firewall/anti-virus. Their main process runs in services.msc. It's a lot simpler to just have your firewall running with, "Ask if no rule set" and create a allow rule when the pop up comes (since Gunz is a full screen game you'll have to hit alt tab or create the rule for gunz.exe before you launch the game. Usually use like a "Set as trusted application" and check the remember this rule box (depending on whatever you're using).

Also if you're using the windows 7 firewall this might help:

I just found out yestarday we don't need Akami or Ignite. The default shortcut they make on your desktop to GunzLauncher.exe adds crap to the path to launch those things alongside Gunz. If you manually go to C:\AeriaGames\GunZ and run GunzLauncher.exe you should be able to run the game without those extra programs (you can of course drag right click to your desktop and make your own shortcut to that file). I have fully uninstalled both Ignite and Akami and Gunz runs fine.

To original poster - if you're playing from a college or public building with their own network setup then their router might be blocking you from playing gunz.
