After reading today’s patch notes, I am enthused and wanted to point out some things I would like to see in the future of this game; you can agree, disagree, comment, etc.
**SERVER UPGRADE or SERVER OPTIMIZATION**
-The servers perform terribly and have done so since the merger. They are either not properly optimized for this game, or are in desperate need of an upgrade.
-This also includes the currently broken registry system.
-I’ve noticed grenade call outs have become more and more broken, is this something that is being done intentionally to “ween” us away from having the enemy ‘call-out’ a grenade? Otherwise, I believe it is something that should be looked into, because I know for certain I’m not the only person having this issue.
-Get the AVA.AERIAGAMES.COM website functioning in the same fashion the AVA.IJJI.COM website functioned. Search players, view their games played / won / lost for month / total, S/D, experience gained, etc. It was easy for me personally to keep track of cheaters, and also to see if they cheated [exp farming, etc.]
-REMOVE FROM BEGINNER CHANNEL!
-Add level restriction to match channel, at least Seargant First Class 1st Class or higher.
-Kick function needs to properly work.
-Add a working ‘Invite’ button, similar to the one that used to be in the Clan War Channel.
-Try to update the anti-cheat more regularly, if at all possible, even though it doesn’t seem to do much at this point.
-Possibly find alternative means of implementing anti-hacking measures into the game.
-REMOVE THE ONE-TIME-LOG-IN KICK FUNCTION
– As large as the hacking issue is, I believe this feature needs to be re-implemented into the game until something more efficient is done to handle the hacking situation; also a MORE SEVERE PUNISHMENT
be given to offenders, such as PERMANENT bans and HARDWARE ID / IP BANS and any other means of BAN you can think of.
*BRING BACK OLD MAPS - Black Scent [most importantly, probably one of the most balanced competitive maps] - Cold Case [ROOF] - Supply*
-The competitive scene seems to be struggling to stay afloat, and for obvious reasons isn’t as active as it should be. I am aware that we have had an “abundance” of tournaments recently, but it doesn’t seem to be enough to encourage more teams to participate. Perhaps the current “groups” and “organizations” that host tournaments could get together and discuss / coordinate their future Tournaments / Cups accordingly as to perhaps make the scene a bit more active and offering than it is currently (and so there aren’t multiple events on the same day[s]); Basically try to focus on advertising for Tournaments / Cups and increase participate in overall competition.
-Try other means of actually promoting the game, as much as I hate new-gens that ruin games because they don’t even understand the objective of the game, there is always potential to attract competitive players from other games / genres.
-Promote Clans / 5v5 *see suggestions below*
*FIRST PERSON SPECTATE!*
**FIX BUDDY LIST BUG(S)**
*Add more medals so more in-game currency (Euros) can be achieved, so users can not have to make a new account to try out a new gun.
*Offer daily perks for those who play consistently; (i.e. – Play 1 hour each day / week receive 10k Euro)
[this is just an example
*Ping limit actually being enforced on rooms that have the option enabled.
*Adding a level limit restriction to rooms – farfetched and not sure how you would implement this, but a suggestion none the less.
*Better events – So far, since the February Tiered Spender [was a good tiered spender] I haven’t seen too many other events aside from encouraging the purchasing / spending of AP. Perhaps get some better events going that aren’t “Play a map for 1-2 hours, receive X prize”. These are becoming repetitive, and majority of the time are on maps people don’t frequent [for good reasons]. Think outside of the box, and perhaps maybe just do Total Play Time and not restrict users to a certain map [not saying every event should be like this, but switch it up instead of forcing us to play certain maps every time you do a “Play 2 Hours Receive X” event(s).
*Community Interaction with “higher-ups” – I believe it is important for the “higher-ups” in the game to try and interact with the community as much as possible. I’m not sure how strict Aeria’s policies are regarding this, and I’m also aware there are Game Sages for such roles, it still wouldn’t hurt to have more direct interaction between the GMs and the community.
*Implement my suggested system for Match Channel Rewards
-Match Channel Suggestion:
Also, an alternative suggestion HERE
-Clan System Suggestion:
Encourage competition amongst clans, perhaps give special incentives for active clans [something that can’t be farmed].
Perhaps implement some sort of match system [yes I’m aware we have a Match Channel] but something more for setting up 5v5s against other clans / opponents and rewarding people for doing this. The scores, etc. would need to be tracked of course, but further discussion on this topic is open for debate.
