Do trials only drop gold blueprints? Or can the actual wep drop?

Trials drop both the gold weapon and its blueprint, it's just that the gold weapons are a decently rare drop.

Crafting or waiting for it to drop, it's all a pain as it's all about waiting and luck (sometimes, it doesn't seem like certain things drop at all). Rightfully so, since they're really good weapons.
