If you're having error -901 you will need to contact PayPal. This typically means that there is an issue with the information that PayPal is trying to use for processing (credit card, bank info, account hold, etc).
This may be connected to why you're having problems with your other payment methods as well. I do not know much about vanilla or the hr cards but make 100% sure they are registered with the correct information.
