4 gigabytes of RAM is "high end"? I built mine for <$700 (including a copy of windows 7) like three years ago and put 8 in mine. Anyway, since everyone else is, I might as well post my exact specs:

NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 (1 gigabyte vRAM)
AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
4x2 gigabytes Corsair RAM (do not remember exact model)
Some old, generic 500 gigabyte hard drive and DVD drive

As for input peripherals and such:
Turtle Beach DPX-21 Headset
Logitech G110 Keyboard
Logitech MX518 Mouse
23" Samsung HDTV for my monitor

No clue what model my motherboard is. Too lazy to check my order history on tigerdirect. Goes without saying I'm using 64-bit Windows 7.

for your poll, my processor would be base, but looks like my memory and video card would be middle.
I have:
AMD 2.4Ghz(single cpu), 2.5Gig memory, Nvidia Geforce 9600 video card.
windows XP.

Woke up this morning and my computer could not switch on:(. Spent a good solid 3 hours swapping parts with my wife's computer. Only to find that 1 ram module is not usable and one of the Graphic cards not usable. And one of the rails of my power supply not working. Did a swap with my wife's Graphics card and found that it was a lot faster then mine.

So now she has my older Graphics card(Asus GeForce 8800 GTX Ultra) and My com is running on 2 gigs of ram for the moment. Surprising that the games take longer to load but the runs alot more smoother. BTW my wife's com had a ASUS GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II that I just bought 2 months ago.

Now planning to to an upgrade for the Motherboard and ram and CPU and cooling along with Power supply and Tower casing to house the 2, 3 Tb HDDs that I bought but cannot use with my current Mobo. I plan to include a 256Gb SDD, but my budget is only 1500 AUD. For me cooling is essential because I prefer to buy Midrange and invest on cooling so that the rig last longer even when OCed. Unfortunately will have to invest in a full install of Windows 7 just to make the HDD's fully utilized.

P.S. Anyone wanna buy a Q6600 CPU with 6 inch high cooling with twin fan with Mobo and 2 Gigs of ram with Power supply for 200USD? Just Kidding Smile
