Trojan horse from Shaiya

Ran Avg this morning to find a trojan horse generic31.ASHO from C:\AeriaGames\Downloader\shaiya_us_installer_20120326sfx.exe:\CONFIG.exe and wondering why the game i have been playing for some time now has decided to infect my computer with this crap. would be nice to know if this has happened to anyone else and if i should even continue running shaiya at all. would be awesome to get some answers.

Just set your antivirus to ignore that folder.

As DN stated, setting the AntiVirus to ignore the Aeriagames folder will correct the problem.

Many AV programs produce "false" positives when scanning newly modified files, which for some reason is more prevalent in gaming software (probably due to the many anti-hacks put into updates). This is also a problem with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware software, which can be corrected in the same manner; setting the program to ignore the aeriagames folder.

Another thing to check is to make sure you have the latest virus definition updates installed for your Anti-Virus/Anit-Malware program you are running.
