Thief Branches

Battle vs. Assassination
Maybe it's just because I've played magic classes for waaayyy too long (EE's converted me though... heh), but I hardly see much difference between the battle and assassination classes. I DO see a subtle difference, but not so much that I can put it into words, and I never tried out thief during alpha testing so just looking at the skills doesn't do much. Can anyone tell me more info? I'm just bored and curious here. owo

^ Look who screwed up their signature quality and overestimated the size :D whoops I'll get around to fixing it -mutters-

From various readings I've seen, all I can tell is that the Battle Thief (which advances to Ranger > Rogue > Avenger > Shadow Walker) has really high attack speed, and probably pretty high evasion. The Assassination Thief (which advances to Ninja > Assassin > Bloody Assassin > Grim Reaper) is going to use skills that have poison DOTs, and probably a skill or two that lets them sneak up on enemies.

But I never actually played, so I can't be too trusted.

Didn't play thief very long in alpha cos its just not my thing but from what I do remember is dual weilding daggers on the assassin branch drastically lowered accuracy however I did notice that assassin branch thief had an animation that looked as though they were throwing their dagger and it returned to them
No idea if that's something that meant they could get extra range or if later advancements would be able to have ranged skills or not but I found this animation very odd

Also its likely all we know from alpha will be ripped asunder by the changes made to the game
So best not to speculate and just be patient

I think one does dps and the other had high-impact damage.

the second one doesn't make much sense, considering we're talking about the THIEF class here, not a berserker.
