Can't Install or Download Eden Eternal On Win8 x64 Laptop

I honestly don't even know what to do about this.

I've tried installing it several times from the website, and each time am greeted with this:




I mean, I'm no genius with computers or anything but I know my computer's good enough to run this. Is there another way to download the client?

I played this in closed beta and ever since and I really want to play it again.

My computer was just bought a bit under a month ago.

This is what it says in PC Info:

Processer: AMD A10-4600M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.30 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64 based processor (it's Windows 8.)

If anyone knows a solution to this problem I'd be forever grateful.

Tried Googling this plenty of times and nothing came up, so time to put up a forum post myself.

Could you please try downloading from this? It is a very recent client.

Well, I downloaded it but it isn't working. WinRAR won't export it nor will it let me open anything inside the .zip file.

Please try unzipping it with 7-zip. Sorry about the late response!

I tried to get it to open. When I export it I get this:




And when I try to open _Launcher.exe directly from the file I get first the message box, then the launcher:

Hello. This I believe is actually a Windows 8 issue (because I have it too). You will need to make an admin account and touch absolutely nothing that changes the default visual or sound settings on the account.

It will let you install it then.

I am the sole owner of my laptop, so shouldn't I already have an admin account? Nevertheless, I'll look into it. Thanks a lot for your help.

The website should've been updated with a new client, so try using the website to download again. If that doesn't work, feel free to use a mirror here .

Easy to fix.
I'm on Win 8 myself and had this problem. All you have to do is this.

Go to

C:\Users\(your name here)\AppData\Local\Akamai

Run the uninstall.exe

Then re-download Eden Eternal and it should be fixed.
Worked for me anywho, hope I helped

The mirrors and the downloader from the site do not work.

Added to that, uninstalling Akamai does not work either. It says "Cannot install Akamai" and closes.
