Hotkeys for the renewed skillbars.

I'm liking it. The new stackable and lockable skillbars, that is. But PLEASE do the community a favour and push the Devs to adjust the hotkeys.

Current situation:

Skillbar 1:
Position stationary, hotkeys: numbers row on keyboard. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc...)

Skillbar 2:
Postion movable, hotkeys: F-row on keyboard. (F1, F2, F3, etc...)

Skillbar 3:
Position movable, hotkeys Ctrl+ numbers row on keyboard (Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, Ctrl+3, etc..)

Obviously the hardest one to play with is the one with the Control button needed. Now WHY would the Devs link those commands to one of the two movable skillbars? Please get this fixed to the immovable skillbar. Either that, or get the Devs to make skillbar 1 movable, too. This setup just doesn't make sense.



Apart from the above mentioned illogical addition, I really like the fact we now have three simultaneously usable skillbars.

Aeria allows the players to do something called "keymap" or something like that
if you want you are allowed to get something like a script, when you are on LC the button CTRL could have the same effect of anothers keys
some keyboards do it alone with their own macro or idk what or there is certainly something on windows/mac

like :
- I Log on LC
- The script starts ---- When you press "space" (for example) there is the effect of CTRL

- Go do something
- Press Space1/2/3 to do what CTRL1/2/3 is supposed to do

or you can choose a special button of your mouse


but +1 to be able to move the hotbar 1

Yeah, sorry dude, but you're wrong. The F-buttons should be fixed to the primary bar. That way nothing would change for the people who dislike the feature and pretty much nothing for those who use it. You know, a "feature" you can't turn off isn't a feature, it's a bug.

Agreed.
If you only have one bar open and then change between the tabs, the hotkeys for the slots shouldn't change. It just doesn't make sense that they do.

you are not allowed to use a third party program for any part of lc, including keybinding.

please keep all discussion about the hot bar to one thread. will be requesting this one locked as there is already a thread on this subject.

Yes you are allowed to map hotkey functions to the mouses buttons.
What you are not allowed to do is have multiple hotkeys on the same button, such that anything becomes automated or acts in a way that it wouldn't normally if you pressed the on the keyboard.
You are also allowed to map key for game controllers.
The policy has never changed and that is what is understood on both sides of Aeria, in MMO and the FPS depots. Subject was brought up before.
"Key mapping" is fine.

you are welcome to bind actions to mouse buttons.
Hopefully this clarifies this matter for you.

Yeah, the other one's title is "To move your action bar", might as well get that one locked as they are off topic. Might also just lower your commitment, that would really contribute.

This one is about the hotkeys on the actionbar, and we keep ON topic:

The whole point of the request for additional hotbars was probably not to just have the already existing hotbars simply appear, we had 3 hotbars already. With one of them being operated with ctrl+num we are now down to 2 hotbars that we can operate with hotkeys.

@ joey, i was given different information from a GM. ty. i will check that out.

@666 this thread is about the same thing as the other one...changing/fixing/remapping hot keys/bar. which is why i said keep it to one thread, with a please. no need for you to be rude, ty.

if you think me asking for all information to be kept to one thread for easier communication with the staff is a poor example of commitment you need to redefine your idea of what a commitment is. it is much easier to present information when its consolidated than to give them 18 different threads to read and sort through. that's called efficiency.

If primary bar is movable, then yes. Otherwise, no. I'm used to having my primary (F1, F2, etc..) right underneath my char, like the screenie shows. Now, if I move to knightform (or PvP-bar for some) I would have to use Ctrl+ for that to be able to have it under my char? Nty. I rather the numbers bar.
