Central and West plazas are usually more busy in Shu. And the reason you Beginner chat didn't work is because most people don't check it as it's no longer on the "all" chat box. Your best bet is going to the administrator and paging a grand master.

it doesnt matter what faction you are in.. you will still be kicked if you join the wrong game.

Make sure the game you choose is NOVICE not MUSOU. that probably is the main problem. When you become guard your main focus should be getting out of the lower ranks quickly, so you can embrace the better things in the game without getting hammered by other players. So that means you should be trying to get PvP fights back to back by way of the Melee Receptionist, or the Marshall

ignore those who believe that shu is going to be your promised land.
DONT WASTE TIME MELEE FARMING AT A LOW LEVEL.
the rewards are poor, you already have the only weapon you need until feild general. Melee farming will only slow down your progression.

This was a common misconception when this game first started. the player "FOX" and co. gained levels quickly while the other players foolishly farmed and didnt do 4v4 player battles. Now they are well-known, high ranking players. I wont touch on their character however.

in the beginning of your game play its pretty much like this..

1. Wealth (farming)
2. Rank (fighting)
3. Social (talking in plaza)

choose two and seal your fate....

ive seen players that were strategist generals when i was a recruit Still strategist generals today... and ive been playing since july 2011....

on the other hand ive seen ppl get close to that in a month, so it all depends on what you do.

Or buy your honor. But, I don't recommend that for 2 reasons: First, you need this time to grow, rather than just be thrown to the wolves. Second, the First time AP Spender's promo sucks monkey nuts.

And melee farming is when you start a melee match with you and possibly 3 other that are on YOUR side.
You hunt generals that are hidden within the red areas of the map (they will have names like Yan Yan or Wang Shuang).

Don't mistake the big red dots for the people you are trying to farm from. They wont drop anything but an occasional flask.

Anywho! You'll find 2 chests. Either containing Gear or weapons! It may take some time to find them, so search ALL THE RED!

Secondly, you find items in crates hidden around the map, also. There are only 2 of those as well.

Soon as you're finished doing that you end the match by completing whatever task it is you set it up for and WIN YOUR PRIZES :3!
