I could care less about not getting chosen for alpha, I never expected it either. I do however about people keeping the schedule they post.

I fully agree with you there. It is about respect and honesty... Principle. Many people are like me, and are new to Aeria and the games they offer, this isn't a good way to make a first, final, or continual impression.

Now if only they'd tell us what took so long this time. Maybe also give the news update they promised :3

Oh well, back to playing something else. If we're lucky two or three of the new random draws will even post on the forums and give some feedback/suggestions/found bugs.

Right then, now that the 0.0033% chance's worth of hope is gone for me to play the alpha, time to wait until closed beta.

Because it was a random sweepstakes and they just used a randomly generated number to select the winners (Or something similar).

While a terrible way to run an alpha whose official purpose is to find bugs and get initial feedback on what may or may not need to be changed, it's a great way to get publicity for the game.

They do. There's plenty of people here with hundreds of posts from prior forums, lots of badges and have been members for years who got in. Can't say if it was from a contest or not, but they talk and respond, good enough for me :3
